Take 5 Oil Change — Local services in Indian Harbour Beach

A great place to get an oil change right off Eau Gallie Blvd. I owe this place another look. I recently went to a different oil change place (Jiffy Lube in Woodbridge) to get an oil change on one car and then came home to get the oil changed to a different car. The two different experiences were night and day. This is the place that sets the standard that I expect. I drove up and waited behind the line. In less than a minute I was greeted and given water by a person who introduced themselves clearly and articulately with a smile. I was taken into a clean bay within 3 minutes of arrival and they were working on the car within 5 minutes. They were respectful, efficient, and polite through the entire process and clearly lived up to their website’s stated goal of, “Delivering a fast, friendly, and convenient experience with a customer- and people-first culture.” This seemed true from my experience. Just like other oil change places, they direct you into a bay where you stay in your car while they do the checks and the services on your car. The staff was friendly and efficient. The time to complete the oil change seemed to take about 15 minutes. As with other oil change companies, they offer standard or synthetic oil options for the change. The cost for our vehicle getting synthetic oil was ~$90 which is reasonable for the area and the economy. There are also coupons so look online for them before arrival or while they are performing the maintenance. Overall, this was a very pleasant experience that I would recommend to others needing this service...

I went to this Take 5 around 3:15 pm and it was super slow. I don't know if it was because I was the only car there (something tells me it wasn't) but this was the best service I've ever gotten at an oil change. The crew were super friendly and, while this was not the fastest oil change I've ever gotten, it was the most thorough with the best customer service. The staff was very thorough in asking me all the "by the book" questions and covered aspects of my vehicle--with no pressure to buy or upgrade anything--that have frankly been forgotten about for a good while. The fella who handled the transaction was in training and I was heartened to see all the staff stepped up to answer his questions with good humor and even some kindness. Plus, he was quite funny, and seemed to be giving himself a decent amount of grace as he was learning.

I normally feel pretty trepidatious going into these sorts of things, being a female on my own--but the staff was nothing short of courteous, thorough, and all seemed to be having a good time. They treated me with a great mixture of humor, courtesy, kindness, and respect.

After the experience I had today, it's worth it to me to come back to this particular Take 5.

If speed is all you're going for, I'm sure there are "pit crews" out there who can slam your skid plate on for you (wrong) faster. I've experienced it. However, if you want to leave feeling better than you arrived (with your car in better shape, too), I recommend...

I visited this Take 5 a few days ago and overall had a great experience. I was immediately greeted with a cold water and directed into the bay. The gentlemen were kind and knowledgeable, without being pushy like they sometimes are at places like this. Cade answered all my questions and quickly got on with my oil change, including a complimentary coolant top off and air in my tires. Unfortunately, they soon discovered that the plug to my oil tank had been jammed in from a previous oil change, and in taking it out, it had damaged the threading. It took them about an hour to fix it, in which they were communicative and apologetic to me. I did ask for a partial refund or credit, as I was meant to be returning this car to my mom an hour away and would now be about 2 hours late. They gave me a full refund! I was very impressed with their integrity to fix the problem, and understanding with my frustration.
