SCAM ALERT! AVOID THIS STORE!!! Just bringing this back to the top!
This is a shady third party retailer, and AT&T does not stand by anything they promise you, even though it looks like one of their stores. Do not give these people your money!!
Because of the staff at this store, as of 9/17 I am still on the hook for nearly $1500 in charges I never authorized (Thanks to Shannon!) Many others are being ripped off by these people, not just me. See below, and read ALL the reviews you see here!
UPDATE 8/21: I have received my new bill today after visiting this SCAM operation posing as a business. My bill QUADRUPLED!!
I learned today that, in addition to all the below issues, Shannon upgraded my phone plan to the most expensive international cell phone plan available WITHOUT my authorization. She also signed me up for a program that enables me to "upgrade whenever I want" - another $10/month - WITHOUT my authorization. This was never mentioned at any point while conversing with her.
I also learned that they reported my cell phone as broken and not functional, even though it was fully functional - I spent hours in store transferring photos and apps, and even wiped the phone clean manually myself before handing it over. So now I'll be getting a whopping $20 credit for my phone as opposed to the $1,000 trade in credit that Shannon and I agreed upon.
Don't ever step foot in this store!
Original Review:
BEWARE. I don't write too many negative reviews but I felt this was necessary.
Read every single review besides mine below in detail. I wish I had read them before I (now regretfully) gave my business to them.
Below are the main issues I experienced. I was there to trade in/upgrade my phone and I worked with Shannon. I have been an AT&T customer for 4+ years.
wrong phone number assigned to my new phone I traded in for they neglected to setup or even unpackage my new tablet while I was in the store so I had to do it when I got home only to find out they added the tablet to my account with a new phone plan, in addition to the actual phone plan i currently have and use, so it immediately began incurring charges. I then returned the tablet because I was tired of all the back and forth, and errors made.
I am currently on the line with corporate customer service to file a formal complaint and deny the charges and additions to my account that I did not authorize, because I have already returned to this store a total of 5 times due to this mess. I asked two times for the store manager, Emily, to call me to help me resolve this situation and she ghosted me both times. It seems they are too busy to clean up...
Read moreI have never been through a violent store before. I had to call the police after spending 4 hours in the store the previous day. Aaron decided that I came in with a certain attitude. I had a medical condition the day before, low blood sugar after four hours of the employees waiting on my sale and waiting on others while with me. That’s probably why i spent money being ripped off. I never got a contract leaving there. Another reason I went back the next day. But when I walked in and said, hey, you guys didn’t do a couple things. I spent a long time in here yesterday. I guess that made Aaron mad. Karina, who states she was the district manager did nothing as Aaron was storming back and forth outside and through to the back room. He stated, the other guy explained everything to you. I was just helping because you were in a hurry at the end. Again I explained I have diabetes. I felt the need to disclose my mild memory impairment. He was cursing and getting more angry. I was crying at this point. He’s a big guy but I didn’t want him to think he can just do that. I asked the district manager Karina for help. She said nothing. She let him rant and tear up and down the place cursing and yelling at me. After a minute I decided that it’s escalated to the point I need the cops. As I was calling the cops, Karina handed me like 5 papers stapled together. When I got home I looked at it and it was just the disclosure of “if you cancel we will screw your credit up so bad and take you to court”. That’s what they care about. Not a contract they don’t have to abide by. So of course Aaron goes outside to wait for the cop and of course the cop talks to the shop keeper first and then the story is skewed to tailor it. It’s ok, I worked with law enforcement for a couple decades and already knew this would happen. I was truly thinking that he could hurt me and needed escort out to my car. I have never been called. I asked for the district manager’s phone number knowing a district manager could not let an employee abuse a customer like that. I’ve spent numerous HOURS on hold or on the line with ATT. Only for them to do nothing and you have to call again. I am still within my cancellation time, so I need to think. I do think the FCC. Something...
Read moreMy goal was to change my cellular telephone plan. I started by calling 611 and was connected after a five-minute wait with a customer service representative. She provided helpful information regarding the plans available to me, but she stated that for the plan that I wanted, I would have to visit at an AT&T store. She provided the address of the store closest to me. I traveled to that store by car, where I waited approximately 10 minutes to be helped by a customer service representative. The customer service representative understood the plan that I wanted and spent approximately 10 minutes working with me to implement it. When I left the store, I was told that everything was all set but was not given any paperwork. That evening, I received an email from AT&T, entitled Customer Recap. It provided information regarding my new plan. I was surprised (and shocked) by the information. The costs were more than double what had been quoted at the store. Consequently, I telephoned ATT at the number provided on the summary. I spoke to a customer service representative who reported that the Recap did not include the discounts which pertain in my case, but that I could count on the figured that were quoted to me in the store. She also assisted me in finding this information on my ATT app. Though I believe everything has been straightened out, I will be looking at my first bills for this change in plan. Between having to travel to the store and then make a follow up phone call to clarify the figures in the customer recap, I believe an excessive amount of time was required to...
