My wife's phone abruptly powered down and would not restart or take a charge while she was driving to a client's home. She exited 465 and saw this verizon store. She entered, explained the situation and was told by staff that "There is nothing we can do, you need a new phone". Knowing that she needs her phone for her business she agreed to purchase a new phone. Was told by associate that she should do the "payment plan" (which my wife knew would lock her into a contract). When my wife questioned, "Won't that lock me into a contract" she was told by associate, "No, it's just an agreement" - Um, that's a CONTRACT. She asked again if there was anything that could be done to fix her phone. Associate said, "There is nothing. You have to get a new phone." Wife agreed to purchase a new phone and was told there was a 20 minute wait until the safe could be opened again. Wife left the store and was followed out by associate who was stated, "What? You don't have 20 minutes???" Wife drove to Verizon on NE side (Pendleton Pike) where she was greeted pleasantly by an associate. Pendleton Pike Associate had her phone working in less than a minute. Good to know there are honest people out there (but they are DEFINITELY NOT AT CRAWFORDSVILLE LOCATION). Make the drive to...
Read moreI went here intending to switch to Verizon. I have recently moved so a Fraud alert popped up. I am a previous verizon customer and had service at my previous Indianapolis address. I currently live in Ohio, and received my new Secure ID (the new type of drivers license required to fly) recently. They used my new Secure ID/DL for my credit application. They wanted to verify my identity, so they put me on the phone with customer service. So, after waiting for 2 hours, the rude customer service asks me to provide a utility bill to verify my identity. Verizon, I hope you realize I had to submit all kinds of documentation , including a utility bill to obtain my Secure ID. There is a big flaw in your process, and it does not make for a pleasant customer experience. Do you understand how easy it would be to fake a utility bill? Scan one in and edit the address, and presto I live at whatever address I want to make up. No wonder you don't have an email address for customer service, the mailbox would probably be filled up in minutes. I guess when you have as many customers as you do, you don't have to care about a guy who just wants one line. Thanks for treating me like a criminal. Maybe one of your competitors will be willing to treat me...
Read more2 employees. One customer. We walk in. The available employee was leaning on the counter on his elbow and on his phone, Never budged. He did ask how he could help us. I stated that we want new phones. He said "what kind" (still hasn't moved) I said something new. He nods towards the wall where there are phone displays and asks again, which one we wanted. My fella says "we'd like to see them and figure out what's best for our needs". Employee (still leaning on his elbow, his phone in hand) says. What we have is on the wall. I asked if this was a corporate store, he said no this is not. (I had already figured that out by then) we walked to the phones, stood there waiting for him to come help us, I turn around he is still leaning on the counter, looking at his phone. At that point, we said Thank you, and walked out. I can't say that this was the worst service ever, because we didn't get any at all. Maybe the worst lack of service ever. We certainly will...
