e-Wise — Local services in Iowa City

All those 5-Star ratings are well-earned and deserved - you can stop looking for 'the right place' for your sick computer, you have found it. I'd never heard of e-Wise before, but gave it a shot based on the plentitude of top ratings -- I mean, who gets ALL 5-stars?? And, I wasn't pressed to give any input, so those stars are likely voluntary reviews. Benn was prompt in connecting w/ me and completed my repairs and updates the very same day. So-oo no hassle. Dropped off the dead cpu before work and picked up a fully-operational-and-better-than-ever one afterwards. Buh-bam. Wait, I didn't say that right, I meant to say, BUH-BAM!! Gave it a full servicing, cleaning, testing AND upgrading that was really all overdue for my aging buddy. I really like the professionalism; from the detialed invoice, the humble, confident ability, the solid communication, to the customer-level explanations of the problems of what he did along with a status report of the cpu. He even threw in some for-free memory he had laying around. Say what?! You won't get that at Mr. Big Box. Totally took the stress out of the whole experience and made it a positive one. 100% recommend and 100% will use again whenever needed. e-Wise provides a super good customer service. ...

O'kay let me start out with Benn is AMAZING! I am one that knows nothing about computers other than to open a program and use it-:). My computer I thought was on it's last leg, it took up to a half-an hour just to boot up. I had a 30 year old accounting program that I loved and did not want to change to a new program. I thought for sure upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 would be impossible to install my old accounting program on but somehow Benn managed to achieve what I thought was the impossible! He is was able to check my hard drive and said it was still in good condition so he just installed Windows 10 on my old computer, transferred all of my programs and data! Unbelievable!!! He saved me a ton of money and stress. He was also kind enough to go through some of the basics of Windows 10, how to navigate through some steps, set up my computer to make it very user friendly, organized my google pictures and programed important files to backup in google drive!!! I can't thank you...

Ben fixed a blue/black screen of death issue for me. His location is more convenient than other businesses, and it's easy to set up a meeting time via phone or email with him. I value his approach to running a small business, which is one that starts and ends with a handshake. You can tell right a way you are dealing with an honest person, which is sometimes hard in the computer repair world.
