Iāll start by saying that Juliano, Martin and Akhil provided one of the best customer service experiences Iāve ever had.
I went in today to buy a new office chair. I found one I liked for a discounted price, but I didnāt realize that the promotion had actually ended the day prior but Juliano was still willing to honor the discount. This alone was great but what happened over the course of the day took my experience over the top.
When I began assembling the chair at home I quickly ran into difficulty. Screws werenāt going in like they should and I realized I wouldnāt be able to assemble it. I called the store and they happily offered to take the chair back and to assemble it for me.
A few hours after I dropped it off, I was notified the chair was complete. This was sooner than I expected as they advised of a 24 hour turn around time, so this was a nice surprise. Juliano told me that they had to get a new chair due to manufacturing errors in the initial one and that they were going to waive the assembly fee.
I had nothing less than an A+ experience with this Office Depot location. I very rarely think twice about my customer service interactions and Iāve never left a satisfaction survey, but my experience with Juliano, Martin and Akhil left a lasting impression on me and I had to make sure they were recognized.

My most recent experience with an online printing request was the most aweful experience ever. Knowing that Office Depot stands behind their service I contacted the store and was told that I could take the printed business cards back to any Office Depot location. I was on a business trip in another state, so I waited until I returned to Texas to return the cards to my local store. I walked into the Irving MacArthur store only to be greeted by a clerk with the first letter A that had a very poor attitude and treated me like I was a bother to him. He calls the manger and wouldnāt you know it that the manager Johnathan had a worst attitude. He was dismissive to my concerns and blamed me for the poor quality of Office Depot product. His nonverbal ques said loud and clear that your issue is not mine. Then he concludes our conversation abruptly and stated that I have to go back the store in Ohio to request a refund for the business cards. Johnathan was not willing to resolve my issue, and clearly he doesnāt care about Office Depot image to their customers. Finally I said, can I please get something printed from my phone. Kid who was going to help me had to get someone to open computer for him. I told him I wanted entire email and attachment printed out. He stood and stared at computer. I finally asked him what he was waiting on and he said he was waiting for my email to come across. I told him he hadnāt given me the email address yet. He then pointed to an email address, I sent it, he printed it. When he handed it to me, it was just the attachment, not the instructions in the email I had asked for. He checked me out never saying a word to me. No customer service skills at all. While the three people were at the counter an old man was standing behind me holding three clip boards. I asked him if he was getting something printed and he said no. I directed him to the cashier.
