MacArthur Crossing — Local services in Irving

This is the best MiCocina in town!! I normally sit at the bar. Ivy is the bar tender on duty and is super nice, friendly and attentive. It gets very busy there and that place is a very well organized run by the Manager Karla. I often see her pulling and organizing the plates of food as they come out of the kitchen and calling out to get the trays of food out to the tables. No time is wasted or messing around. She means business!! As someone who worked restaurant for 10 years its gopd to see some restaurants really care about the flow of everything and having a good customer experience. I often see her go around to the tables asking customers how is their meal? Then i see her at the door greeting & saying bye and thank you. She's a hands on manager who cares!! MacArthur Crossing at the corner of MacArthur Boulevard and 635 is a cute little shopping center with a nice variety of retail and dining options. The only drawback is that it's at the corner of two heavily trafficked roads, MacArthur and the access road to 635. It is accessed from either one of these roads and there is plenty of parking so that's a plus. I most often stopped in there to go to Mi Cocina which is one of my favorite Tex-Mex dining restaurants. I have a friend who comes in from out-of-state and that's the first place he wants to eat. As he says, you can't get enchiladas or margaritas that good...

The Mac Author Crossing shopping area has a decent selection of stores, but the overall atmosphere unfortunately feels a bit sketchy. There's a noticeable lack of cleanliness in some areas, and I observed some instances of loitering that made me feel uneasy. While I was able to find what I was looking for, I didn't feel completely comfortable browsing or lingering, and I found myself keeping a closer eye on my belongings than I usually would.
