During this COVID situation, the staffs take necessary precautionary measures like checking the temperature at entrance, providing gloves, sanitizers etc. I would like to thank them for doing a great job here.
By first looking at the store you will definitely get a feel that they have a wide variety of collections and it is true as well. But when it comes to kids collections there weren't much at all. We stepped into the store today(09/21/2020) to buy earrings for my little one. The collections of toddler earrings were little and due to her age and size and our search narrowed even further. The Sales woman who was assigned to us was lacking attention to us. I could sense that by her actions. I was little hesitant to even ask the sales woman to try the ear rings on my lil one understanding the current situation but she did allow us to try and I was happy about that but it dint even last for minutes. When we picked the 3rd earring to try on my daughter, she gave us a warning that this will be your last try and nothing after that as if we tried 10-20 varieties. After hearing her words, I dint even attempt to try, gave them back. I understand the COVID situation completely. I noticed that after every try, the sales woman was very cautious in wiping them with sanitizers before putting them back to rack. My question is why would someone allow us to try on those jewels rather having a hard stop on only 3 varieties ?
Is this the rule across this store or just to that sales woman who doesnt have enough patience to wipe off every variety that we try on. I dont know.
I would like to raise this concern and get addressed them respectively.
I really liked the earring which I shortlisted and I ended up buying them. Since this is my first gold purchase in US(not aware of how things work here), I have question to Tilak Jewelers - when Gold rate is ~63$ per gram in Dallas, Tx on 09/21/2020 - why did you charge me 92$ per gram ? :) Is this extra 30$ (48%) are towards making charges of that earring or something else ?
Overall Review - Nice store, Effective measures against COVID are much appreciated, Kids collection can be improved, staff behavior needs to be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSecond Review: I wish I could give ratings 4 As I bought a product in tilak and was very happy with the purchase but the customer service is still 0. So I visited store on danteras,it was really busy and I understand the rush.I came there to purchase diamond pendant which they donāt have many varieties and went to see bracelets for men it took time to decide when you were spending huge amount, but old gentle man there came to me and told seriously that they were going to close And make it fast in a really rude way and the time was just 2.30 pm. Sir, we may not give you a huge business but atleast we are doing busy with you treat people with respect the money we are buying are our hard work you canāt degrade us in front of every one..Please show some respect and I hope you see this and take action
Wish I could give 0 stars but one star is for their wide range of designs. I visited another jewelry store near irving but also wanted to look for other stores As we do not have wide varieties there. Tikal Jewelers are taking proper safety measures and I was really impressed with the range of varieties they had. So the lady who received us is the one made us not to buy in the store though we liked the product. Very poor customer service I must say. She just donāt talk to us and atleast ask what I am looking for moreover she just stares at me when I ask something and not even interested in showing us the pieces that they have. Though we spent 20 minutes looking at the designs and tried to ask questions but the lady was really busy talking to her colleagues.. such a spiteful behavior and we are not even going there although we were impressed by the designs. We ended up going back to the store we came and bought the neck piece for our...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere is a guy Vinu at this store-he has no sense of how to talk with customers. Maybe they should go back to Africa or India- wherever they are from... customer service in America is supposed to be exemplary. As an American business owner, if you canāt even learn customer service, then shame on you- you are a stain on American mannerism. Money only follows good customer service. Mind this comment, I have bought at least 50 tolas from this store at one point. Indians (I am one too) brag on relationships but my experience here sure makes this judgement questionable. This store really is considered terrible since their behavior is not changing in spite of so much competition they have in DFW in their line of business. With so much competition, you should go above and beyond, not beneath and belowš³.
Response to the response by the owner... I know there a Vinod or Vinu who used to work there or still does, perhaps heās even a partner most likely. I canāt mistake this as my whole family knows him from many years. He is the guy actually from whom we bought a lot of gold jewelry in the past when Tilak used to be on OāConnor. As a matter of fact, there are also other employees I know such as Rita, etc. When you make a mistake, at least own up to it to customers. It makes things worse when you cold bloodedly just lieš¤ to appear good in...
