Had a very disheartening experience with this jewelry store. Been in the USA for 15 years shopped from multiple jewelry shops here but this is by far most looting business in my opinion. I went to this store after seeing google reviews. Will regret that decision for ever or until this store is closed! I believe most reviews are definitely fake!! Ok coming to my experience. Bought a diamond pendant earrings and a 22 Caret gold chain. On 19th March 2022 pendant worth $1224 , rest of them $2000 . Total was around 3100 . They do not have any bargain . Forget about bargain this store management is so cheap they do not even have restrooms for customers! No refreshments either! Anyways I used the chain pendant and earrings once for a party and it was fine . I wore the whole set next weekend for another gathering and after 40 minutes of wearing(travel in car for 25 minutes) of wearing the Chain I realized the pendant was missing and the chain hook was broken! I checked in the car I travelled and also the venue I walked into . Technically this was a new chain and Not supposed to fail so quick at least never happened to me with any other jewelry. Usually wear and tear happens atleast after a couple of uses. And for me? Only once I could use it! So now the pendant with $1250 is gone ! And I was happy atleast the chain remained in my neck. So this happened at 11:00 am and I and my friend kept searching and whole day was gone into this tragedy. At 4:00 pm I put pictures of the broken chain to this number which is take. Care by a lady called sangeetha. She said sorry and they will take care. I provided pictures and whatever proofs they asked for. I checked at the venue (Minerva in plano - they did not have a cctv - was a womens day party ) I requested this lady Sangeetha to let me talk to the manager. Manager /owner calls me after 15 days of this incident talks to me for more than an hour . Says he will do the best . I wanted them to take responsibility if not 100% at least upto 50% . They agreed that the chain had a lobster hook and it was failed in the second usage itself. They offer to make me a new pendant. After 4 months and gave me a discount of mere $200! That was a big blow for me! As I spoke to them umpteen times explaining my situation and expected they will take responsibility as it’s their product. This cunning lady sangeetha never let us meet the manager/owner ( I think she had orders from them) we live in McKinney and every time we go here is a lot of tolls and time for us. Any ways when we went to pick up this chain ( I asked them to put a S hook ) and new pendant the lady (sangeetha) says I was 100 percent responsible for the loss of the pendant . I was shocked. Also she asks if I have pulled the chain?
Overall they did not take any responsibility for the broken chain or lost pendant. They just let time pass about 4 months so that we can forget the trauma we went through. And sold another pendant for us for of course more profit!
Even if we buy mini electronic from any store here in USA there is a guarantee. Aren’t these jewelry stores supposed to make good and quality products? And if something like this happens because of their poor craftsmanship isn’t it their responsibility to replace or return? Looks like this Indian business only motto is to make money !! They made double the profit from my sorrow! ( selling another pendant) .
I would give them zero stars if option is given! Beware when you shop with them! Once you buy something and leave the store even if it’s worth thousands of dollars they won’t take any responsibility. Please check their jewelry twice before you buy who knows they may be selling used jewelry with small repairs too. Otherwise how can a new chain hook break after 1 usage? Read moreI visited tanmai jewelers recently after being suggested by my friends.. I feel they have a huge collection in diamonds and also gold... I did try a few gold jewellery as am not much into diamonds... I can say the Customer service is good too.. They tried to clarify all my doubts and also give me clear information on all the questions that I asked.. This is the first time I visited a jewelry store in USA and was very surprised to see a lot of Indian jewelry in one place.. once I visited a exhibition but I couldn't see anything as it was very crowded and congested.. but in tanmai jewelers I could see and try as many jewelry as I want which is good.. I liked a necklace a lot which was a elegant and I showed on video call to my mom in India she was very surprised and told me that the make looks very good and wish she was there with me... The necklace was solid and the design was also modern.. I will come back again once my mom is here and buy few stuff.. One more thing which I felt good is I wanted to buy a small gift but last minute I realized all other shops on and around Dallas which has Indian jewelry is closed on Tuesday. Read moreI purchased gold bangles for my infant daughter last year in Tanmai jewelers in Irving. At the time of purchase Tanmai jewelers mentioned that the gold bangles are for 1 year olds and above as they don't sell sizes for infants. However, after my daughter wore them just twice, the link holding the bangle broke. We hoped for an understanding and cooperative response from the store, but when we presented the bangle with the invoice, the manager on duty on Sept 2nd 2023 at 6 PM was the polar opposite.
Rather than addressing the apparent quality issue, she rudely denied any responsibility, insinuating that our daughter's hand was too big for the bangle, even when it was evident that the size was, in fact, loose. To add to the injury, she made unwarranted comments about our behavior, claiming we were not humble and started a verbal war to an extent that i had to disconnect. It's disappointing and disheartening to experience such a lack of empathy and responsibility from a business we trusted.
Customers place their trust in jewelers, especially when buying precious items for their loved ones. Sadly, our trust was not reciprocated. What would have been a simple fix ended in making the customer regret their purchase.
