TAX-EXEMPT RESELLERS DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!! As a tax-exempt professional business owner who has been in the vintage and home decor business for over 35 years - I would NEVER step foot or recommend this place to anyone! I experienced the WORST display of customer service ever. After a fabulous experience at their Pittsburgh location, I was so excited to visit this location and boy did I find some wonderful deals after over 2 HRS of shopping! To my shock however- at checkout I was scolded that I can not use my tax-exempt identification at this location, even though the Pittsburgh location gladly accepted it as EVERY other business in Pennsylvania had with my over $600 purchase at that location! I was visiting the area as a buyer for my KY business. I've never not had a business refuse to accept my tax-exempt legal status in all the years of being in business, and of course thought the sales clerk was somehow mistaken and challenged her as to her reasoning why they would not allow for a tax-exempt sale in that location. Her explanation was vague and made absolutely NO sense whatsoever and I had no choice but to leave my 2 carts FULL of vendor merchandise sitting at the counter. As a vendor at this place - I would be so upset that a legitimate reseller was refused business because of trying to use their legal tax-exempt resale status certificate with a purchase exceeding over $700 worth of various vendor merchandise. There was absolutely NO posted policy concerning tax-exemption anywhere in the mall. Over 2HRS of my precious business time was totally wasted and could of easily been avoided had I known their supposed ridiculous policy concerning this matter! The sales clerk was very rude and annoyed that she would have to return all the many items in my carts because I refused being forced to pay tax on inventory items I will already be paying tax on when sold - what a joke of a business! If you are a tax-exempt...
Read moreWhat a letdown. I wouldn't recommend any vendors to sell their items here.
We were really excited to take the trip here. We spent a ton of time looking around, walking up and down every aisle, and filling a basket with some really cool, rare finds. We started in the back of the store and worked our way to the front. We saw it was about 30 min to close, so we made sure to get to the front little corner behind the register. We were talking and pointing out things to each other, not exactly being quiet. I went up to the register and looked in the glass display on the side, and excitedly yelled about the Pokemon cards I found. The lady at the register was just sitting and reading a book. I saw that it was 5:46 (14min to close) and went to grab my partner. We came up to find that the lady had closed the register and locked us in the store. She said she couldn't check us out. I said "but it's 5:52" and she said "well it's mother's day." ...ok??? Is that supposed to be a reason to close early and lock your customers inside. No warning. No checking to see if the customers that were just standing right next to you 5 minutes earlier were still in the store. Just a rude interaction and a filled basket just left on the counter. Probably never going to find those items again, and those vendors lost...
Read moreMy children 12 and 9 year old children went in today with me to find dolls. They went up to pay on their own with $100 bill I gave them. The woman at the desk told them she wouldn’t take their money and that it was a FAKE BILL, infront of other customers. She did NOT even test the bill with a pen. They came to me visibly upset, I went up to speak w her, and asked her to test it with a pen. She would NOT and told me “IT DOESNT MATTER” she still wouldn’t take it. Before I left I put the bill on the counter surface, and took a picture so you could see where the picture was taken and the numbers on the bill. I said I was going to take it to the bank and video them confirming it was not fake. She said it still wouldn’t matter she’s not taking it, I said I want to buy NOTHING from here, but I want YOU to know it’s real and I want an apology to my children. She told me to not come back with my fake $100. Absolutely deplorable way for an employee to handle the situation. I’ve been shopping there for years with my kids, they love buying collector monster high dolls and other things. We will never step foot in there again. Oh - bank confirmed the bill is real. Buyer beware of terrible...
