Long Review:
I bought the "Steel 360 Tempered Glass Screen Protector" for curved screens yesterday, 9/8/18, at a Verizon store inside a mall. The employee there was nice and told me about it and said it was a good product. I have a Galaxy Note 9 and was worried about it not having a screen protector. Especially since I've already had it for little more than a week and was nervous about it not having any screen protection. So I did one of the dumbest things possible when it comes to buying any kind of merchandise. I didn't look up the reviews. I bought it for a total of $70.29 and the employee offered to put the screen protector on it for me. He cleaned it and did everything you needed to do to be able to put it on securely. I went about my day and not 5 minutes later I already disliked it. I couldn't type on it the way I could w/o the protector. I thought I would get used to it because I need my phone to be protected. Nope. I left the mall, went somewhere else, and was still not happy. I went into a stand-alone Verizon and they said that because I bought it from a Verizon in a mall, that I would have to return it there. I drive all the way back to where I bought it only to be told that it was NONREFUNDABLE! The employee didn't bother to let me know that before I bought it. He offered to exchange it for a different one but I bought the last one. I was so angry, I left. I thought I was out $70. I went online and saw that I could change the touch sensitivity on my phone and was so relieved at what an improvement it was! However, I turn on my camera to take a selfie and to finally enjoy my phone only to find that the pictures I was taking were blurry! I saw that my front facing camera was covered by the screen protector. I emailed PureGear asking if I could get another. Would taking off the screen protector myself be alright and not lose the adhesive? Etc. I sent a second email explaining that as I was typing, the screen protector was making a popping sound, which tells me that it’s not secure anymore. I was hoping for an automatic email saying they’ll get back to me. But after reading the reviews on here, I think I will never get a response or if I do get a response I won’t get the help that I need. Anyways, as I was cleaning and typing on my phone the screen was able to slide from one part of my screen to another! What kind of protection is that?? The screen protector on the right side has popped off. I went to register for the PurePleadge Program, hoping for it to benefit me somehow, despite the issues I already found within 24 hours of purchasing it, but saw they offered a 35% discount for students and teachers. I typed the information it asked for on the first screen which was the university, first/last name, email, and birthday. I clicked “submit” or “accept” thinking that it was over, only for another screen to pop up saying that I needed to show either my transcripts, ID card, etc. Not only that, I was looking at the fine print that said they needed that information to prove I was a student but one of the words is spelled wrong!! It said “Please provide your first and LASE name”. I immediately clicked out of it. I typed “pure gear” into Google and saw all the terrible reviews. That inspired this essay long review into why I will never buy from this company again. Why was I charged $70 when online your products are much less expensive compared to the store? Again, I did the dumbest thing possible by not looking up the reviews/reputation of this company. If and when my problems have been addressed and resolved by this company, then I will edit my comment. But for now, as far as I am concerned, I wasted $70 on absolutely nothing.
Note: This is the long review to the short one posted earlier. As I had to shave this review down because it also exceeded...
Read moreIf you have made it to this review after reading the others, and still have doubts about the severity of the customer service, hopefully this tips the scale. I purchased a screen protector for my Google Pixel XL 2. The quality of the product at first seemed above par. It was clear, slim, and just as responsive as if there was no glass at all. 2 days after purchasing, the screen protector broke. No big deal right? That's why they offer a warranty, right? So I filed my warranty claim and happy to see how easy it was. All I had to pay for was shipping and handling. No problem.
Wrong! That was over a month ago. I received an email saying my product was on back order and to expect an update soon. 2 weeks went by with no update. I wrote an email to customer support. No response. I wrote a second email. Still nothing. I finally tracked down their phone number, which is conveniently left off of the website. It goes straight to an automated message saying they are having technical difficulties, then there is hold music, then a message saying all customer support reps are assisting other customers...Which is it? Technical issues or representative back up? If it is back up I am not surprised, as it seems like no one gets help. But if the callers are getting through, good for them. I hope they get all of their money back, because I sure haven't.
It saddens me to know that there are many strong entrepreneurs out there that have great ideas and do everything they can to make sure their customers are happy, then companies like PureGear muddy the waters of the American Dream. They do not deserve your business if they are not willing to help you when their product fails. You can make a nice looking product, and put it in carefully branded packaging, but if the product fails, and then you fail to back up your word, you should be shut down.
I not only want my $7 for shipping back, but I want the original $50 back for the time I have wasted trying to get in touch with them. And shame on Google for not letting me give ZERO stars. I wish there was a secondary rating system for how terribly unsatisfied I am. And I don't think I would be alone.
PureGear does not deserve to operate, and they do not deserve your business. Absolute disgrace (Chef Ramsey voice).

Read moreI would honestly give this a negative 5 stars. The place i bought my screen protector from promised it was the best in its field, claiming nothing could crack the screen protector and that they back up their statement by a warranty. First off, the price was absolutely appalling, second i got mine put on by a so-called professional only for it to have multiple cracks the very next day. I tried for days to get a hold of someone at Puregear but no response until finally i posted on their Facebook page. They made me pay for a replacement and promised it would be sent within 7-10 business days. I told them I would need it for traveling. Three weeks later i still haven't recieved the product. When I contacted them again they said it wasn't even sent yet. So i thought i would give them the benefit of a doubt and have them send it to my travel destination which they said they could and it would be there in under 3 days. Once i had reached and stayed for my vacation (5 days travelling to the destination and 5 days staying there so 10 days total) the product still hadn't arrived. I asked for a refund and as this is rediculous and they said I can't get one. So two months now plus money down the drain and all i have to show for it is a...
