They pass who they like and fail who they don’t like! You don’t really learn the skills and if you pass them perfectly it’s not a guarantee you’ll pass and if you need walked through them or fail them miserably is no guarantee you fail. It’s all about whether you piss them off or not, basically. If you decide to go there, don’t piss them off. Enough said. Go somewhere else though if you actually want to learn the skills you’ll need. Further, the tests you take have nothing to do with what you’ve actually been taught. For example, there will be pharm questions on your tests before you even take pharm.
Oh and let’s not forget, my transcripts say I failed a class in January when I wasn’t even attending school there in January and says that I remediated that class….NEVER HAPPENED
When I took my skills test, I wasn’t allowed to use their TEGADERM for my IV. Instead she required I use tape that refused to stick to the mannequin arm. Then said she couldn’t pass me because the catheter was just flopping around. True story
I had more problems with them than this but honestly they ain’t worth my breath
Oh yeah and they did my required CPR class. Problem is they never turned it in so I never got my certification ALSO, the class was really a joke. I’ve done CPR before, both AHA and Red Cross, regular and BLS and it stood up to none of those standards. They completely passed over infant CPR and said we were done. That was the MOST UNQUALIFIED CPR class I ever took in my life! Not even exaggerating! It was an absolute DISGRACE! I hope none of the ladies who’ve only took that one class with them ever have to use those skills before taking an actual qualified CPR/BLS class! I...
Read moreWhen I started college at Ross College it was called Brown Mackie College and I entered the School of Business Management and persevered through the school's changes and programs. I finished almost four years ago, got my diploma and, graduated Alpha Beta Kappa. When I started I was told that the average Business Management graduate would make upwards of $50,000 a year. Since graduating I still do not have a job let alone $50,000 dollars a year. Also, in regards to getting a job the career services department has completely cut ties with me. In short if you would like to cheated not unlike a shady used car salesman in golf pants this college is your best choice. I sometimes sit and look at my diploma, accolades and, honors and wonder if the whole thing was a joke in...
Read moreThis was my experience at Ross College for 9 months doing veterinary assisting school, the teacher who taught my program chooses favorites and is condescending to the students who don't always get the answers. Katie Parr and Dr.Pegg at the college reassured me multiple times that I'd get a tutor but in the 9 months I went there I struggled without one. The icing on the cake is that the teacher expects you to know everything about the subject that she is currently teaching at that moment and if you get the answers wrong she looks at you with a nasty look. personally I wouldn't recommend going here because I feel like I've wasted my time money and energy on career that isn't even worth this much effort for the payout...
