Customer service was great the weekend my husband and I bought coffee for the first time here. I wish I knew the employees name. We even tipped her as she was so sweet.
Yesterday was a nightmare. Got to meet the owner as well. Very unprofessional. One of the employees ruined the respect I had for this coffee shop and the owner didn't help with the reputation either as they acted like they were in high school eager for a drama filled day. Their sign states that they help with food allergies. They really don't. They view them as a joke.
Go to any other restaurant and if they mess up your order, they'll more than likely either remake it or give you a gift card to uphold their customer service and reputation. I got better customer service at Starbucks (as outrageously priced as they are) and Dunkin Donuts.
You can grasp their attitude by the owner's responses to any negative review here on Google. He's not owner material at all... Very childish for a grown adult.
Edit::
Response to owner: We told the baristas that we had a dairy allergy. Ordered a bagel with egg and sausage. We asked if their bagel had dairy. They confirmed no it did not. So we said and I quote "we would like a bagel with the sausage and egg". WE WERE NOT TOLD THESE SANDWICHES WERE PREMADE. We assumed we were getting a bagel with sausage and egg. Instead we get a croissant which we know has milk. We asked. They confirmed it does. Instead of having decent customer service of either refunding us for a sandwich they said would be dairy free or just give us a bagel to swap it out, they said there was nothing they could do.
Most places like red Robin, Panera bread, even fast food restaurants remake the sandwich or give you a gift card for your mistaken item or just give you the $1.75 bagel so their customer service stays superb.
So I basically did what I had to do and wanted to call customer service to let them know the situation to get it resolved as wasting $4 on a sandwich we can't eat which we were TOLD was dairy free is not great customer service. In doing this I thought we would resolve the situation. Nope. The barista said "well I'm calling the Jackson police if you don't move". Oh ok.. I'll move. I thought we were gonna talk to customer service and put her on the phone. So I parked. What did she do? Call them anyway even after I moved AFTER she asked me and then she goes on to lie and say I wouldn't move. I never once did not listen when she asked me to move. She was already calling the police without even asking. She was at the window waiting while I was on the phone so in my eyes I thought we were solving this as food allergies is no joke to joke about. My husband is severely allergic to fish and literally would not survive if he ingests it since he has anaphylaxis.
Then you come up to the window. Not once did I ever have to argue with anybody in my entire life over a sandwich! At this point it was mind blowing how out of proportion everything was being blown up instead of just having good customer service to begin with. The police after you left was not amused at the whole situation. The Barista's attitude was outrageous and honestly embarrassing.
Literally wasted the time of our police department. They have better and more important things to attend to so good job on wasting our officers time on such a...
Read moreI went to this location (Canton, Ohio on Whipple) this after noon 05/26/24 at around 8:15pm (by the time I got up to the window). As my children and I sat in the car waiting to be greeted and served we looked at the menu. After while I noticed some time had passed and I had not been acknowledged. I could see the young lady inside working. So I sat patiently a little while longer. After about 10 minutes or more by this time, I sat confused. Their hours stayed they closed at 9:00pm on Google. So as the young lady was close to the window I honked to get her attention and she chucked but had not looked at me. I honked once more and she finally looked at me, I tried to ask through the window if they were open. So I could have some clarity on the situation. Again, confused as to why I had not been greeted or had my order taken. She nodded her head yes, so I sat patiently another minute or two. I then looked up and she was out of sight and turned the lights off. I began to drive away frustrated at the lack of communication and out right bad customer service. As I drove away the lights came back on. I turned around and she turned the lights back off. With this being said, This Human Bean location will never get my business again and I will be calling corporate. I attempted this afternoon but they were closed. However, I will be following up on the lack of professionalism, customer service and quite frankly respect for paying customers. If they were in fact closed, a simple “we’re closed” when if through the window would have been sufficient. But informing me, stating that they were open, then turning the lights off as my children and I sat patiently to be served is beyond unacceptable.
Hopefully management at this location can correlate this date and time of this incident with the young lady who was working. She was tan complected, had brown/black long hair, which was in a ponytail and had jewelry on which was attention grabbing.
I will also be following up...
Read moreDear Reader, I used to be a Dunkin girl then we moved closer to a Starbucks and I was going broke going there. On my way to work was a human bean and I stopped. Now I'm fully a human being kind of girl the staff is what got me hooked first then the strong flavorful fresh coffee sealed the deal. The girls were knowledgeable they were polite and you didn't make me feel like I was in a rush or in a hurry to pick out what I wanted I describe to them what I normally drink they gave me their recommendations and they were not wrong my favorite drink is an Americana with toasted marshmallow flavoring a dash of cream, hot they're much cheaper than Starbucks and still cheaper than Dunkin I feel you get in and out quicker because they have to drive through windows and again the girls are knowledgeable and know what they're doing they take their time with each individual customer. I love how they put a chocolate covered Coffee Bean on top of your coffee cup I love it so much that I bought a bag of the beans they're amazing best chocolate I've ever had.
