I like the staff, everyone is friendly and you get a real neighborhood feeling. The prices are quite comparable to larger chains, and their selection is surprisingly diverse. They carry many items that I wouldn't have expected to find.

They have a pretty great beer selection, with the mix-n-grab packs so you can get as many or as few, and as many types, as you like. I particularly like this.

My only word of caution: they don't seem to watch their bakery items or produce very well. Often the produce is old. One several occasions all of their fresh herbs, raspberries, and even GINGER has been moldy. I've brought it to the attention of management many times, and they will remove the front/ top few, but that doesn't solve the problem. I usually avoid most produce from here if I want...

The parking lot is a NIGHTMARE AND A FATAL incident waiting to happen. If they don’t take the time to redesign their parking lot someone is going to get hurt or killed. The inside OMG can someone dust the entire store please?! They need armed security in the parking lot to keep non grocery store parking. I dont know if this store is too small to carry all the items most stores have but I ALWAYS have to make several grocery store trips to get everything. They only stock one kind of belvita crunchy bars. They don’t have wonder bread most of the time. I have been shopping at McDades around 5 years. Nice and clean store. Managers and some some employees are friendly. A couple of employees will keep walking by if they think you need help. The bakery and meat dept. employees are very friendly and helpful. Cashiers are not real friendly. They will only speak to you if you will speak to them first. Some of them will not utter a word until the end when they tell you how much you owe. I hope one day they will treat everyone with kindness. It means a lot when you see a smiling face.
