We took the family for an early movie. Popcorn was good, but my complaint is paying for the popcorn refill when we purchased the large tub and the floor inside the movie box was soaking wet, standing puddles of water. Also, extremely cold no heat whatsoever. Staff was rude and in a hurry, probably because they seemed to be short handed. My recommendation, take the extra 40 minute drive to Eldorado Hills/Folsom , well worth the drive. Unfortunately, we wonāt be back.
Please read!! I wanted to share with everyone how management reached out to me in regards to our recent review and experience. I received a phone call from a very wonderful person that I have known and been friends with for many years. This person explained to me why our experience was not enjoyable. The heating system had recently broke and the repair company told them it would be fixed very quickly. That ended up not happening because they had to wait on a part that was not available. The flooding issue was from a plugged drain from the rain storm that had just passed. This was the first time in over 40 years this has ever happened. In regards to the charge on the popcorn refill there was a mistake and an apology was made. The unfortunate issues all happened at the same time, which in the publicās eyes might seem like thereās a lot of problems not understanding the situation. Once explained to me I can completely understand what had happened. As a business owner myself, I understand how things can snowball all at once. Management was working on resolving the problems mentioned at the time we were there, unfortunately we didnāt know that. I have visited this movie theater throughout my entire life and Iām a life long resident of our beautiful Amador County. I have always loved this place and love having a movie theater so close for our community. My recent experience had taken the wind out of my sail and I felt upset. I want to set the record straight, management made everything right with us. We received, 4 free movie passes, $30 dollar gift certificate, and free popcorn/drink ticket. It was also brought to my attention that new reclining seats, wine and beer, and some other upgrades are coming very soon. This is great news for our wonderful community! We do need an entertainment venue like this, so please go and support our local business and if you do experience something you donāt like reach out to management and let them know. Guaranteed, they will make it right! We will be back for sure and a big thank you to management for their understanding and generosity in making...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo I have read through the reviews and would like to add my two cents. I am an avid film watcher that moved to Amador County a few years ago. I was thrilled that such a small community had a theater this nice. Is it the same quality as the Regal in over in El Dorado Hills? Yes, just on a smaller scale!
The sound quality is great. The staff are always super friendly. Theater and bathrooms are very clean. They get first run films. Never need to worry about not getting a good seat even if show up right before film starts.
Yes the snack bar is small. Hello it is a four screen theater, what do you expect. Yes the screens are not as big as some in other film houses, again what do you expect from a small local theater.
I love coming here and have adjusted how I go about viewing films I really am looking forward to. If a new release comes out and they don't have it showing I ask if they are getting it soon. Typically all popular films will be shown, if not I drive an hour to the theater that is showing it and deal with the crowds.
If a film I want to see is in the theater now I see it quickly versus waiting, as it may go out of the theater soon.
Bottom line it is a great theater, with quality equipment and a terrific staff that plays first run movies. Really nothing more you could expect for such a small community. Thanks Regal keep up...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJackson location is a complete joke. Just before Christmas, I went to the new theater multiple times to get gift cards for family members. Each time, I was told by the manager that the gift cards had not yet been delivered, FedEx problem, etc. As Christmas neared, and on my final attempt, I purchased gift ācertificatesā from the theater instead and was told they would work the same as gift cards. My senior citizen in-laws tried to use one in February and were denied because, supposedly, the scanner was broken. Again in May, a similar reported equipment issue prevented the theater from honoring the first certificate. AGAIN last month, my in-laws were not only denied use, but told they wouldnāt be able to use it all since the manager couldnāt verify whether or not it had already been redeemed. And I assure you, my sixty something year old folks are not trying to get one over on a movie theater. I purchased TWO $50 āgift certificatesā that have not been honored. Itās criminal, and I wonāt spend another dime at this supposedly locally...
