Sleep Doctor/ Jackson — Local services in Jackson

We stopped in there a couple nights ago. Just to see if it would be possible to get a mattress for one of our small bedrooms..... we were expecting to have to bring a truck and put up with all kinds of annoying delivery options or lack there of..... but that was not the case at all....... The man there met me a warm welcoming greeting. Even though I had been stressed about the drive.... travelling in rush hour traffic during holidays...... He set me up with a mattress in about 5 minutes time. It was in a box that fit easily in our trunk. We took it home and we have never been so happy with a mattress purchase in our life before or since. After we had picked it up when my husband got off work at 7. We had plenty of time there for him to go pay. And then he put it in our trunk himself. I wanted to give the man a hug. Which is all I could scream through the window. Since I was in the driver seat. he really did bless our lives with such an honest sale and it was a great purchase for us. Sleep is so important and good sleep is hard to find with a growing family.... now I am getting some very good sleep. Some of the best sleep ive ever gotten in my whole life thanks to him. I am a little person with a rare schedule to disorder. I have never realized how much of a contribution. My terrible mattresses have ben in my lack of sleep. Alright so I went into sleep doctor with no idea of what kind of mattress to get other than the fact that I knew I needed a new one. As soon as I opened the door I got a warm greeting from Scott who is one of the consultant at sleep doctor and he asked me what my sleeping patterns were and a bunch of other sleeping related question. Scott took the time not only to tell me about the different types of mattress that would best suit my sleep style but also had me lay down and test the mattress to get the best fit for me and even bringing me a pillow and telling me I could take a nap if I wanted to. That day I walked away not only with a new mattress that I love but knowing that if I ever needed anything or had any other sleep questions that Scott would be there to help. Scott did an absolutely fantastic job and he really does go above and beyond to find the right mattress. Out of all the stuff I’ve ever bought online or in stores this is the first review I’ve ever written and that’s because Scott did such an amazing job that I want everyone to know how helpful and kind he was during my time at sleep doctor. I walked in this store to see if they had a twin xl mattress we could purchase and have in our hands within 24 hours. The sales guy replied with you can’t purchase that size anywhere without a special order. I replied yes I know I can I had already been to a store in Okemos the prior day and they had some. He proceeded to tell me no one carried them anymore and I would have to order them. I said well when can you get one trying to just be polite and give the guy a chance. Meanwhile he went to look it up I called Vermeulen’s and loan behold I could buy one same day for a fraction of the price he wanted to pay and had 6 different options! His offer was 5 days out and $1800 for a twinxl mattress…. No no thanks… to say the least I won’t return there and got one for $326 out the door from Vermeulen’s which I was originally avoiding as I thought they would be more expensive.
