The inventory of this place was amazing it was the most accommodating one I’d seen for items for building a house and there was lots of great items to choose from. I am a little disappointed in the lack of kitchen appliances, there was mostly kids toys (I mean like 6 isles of just toys). The items that were still in boxes were just thrown around so I couldn’t get my cart through to properly look through everything. My BIGGEST complaint is the workers attitudes. My friend bought an entire bathroom vanity with a marbel top. This was priced at $600 and it was AFTER she bought it (no return policy) that the workers told us they didn’t have any bubble wrap or protective coverings of any kinds for it. They refused to put it on a pallet jack for us so we could put it in the bed of my truck. Because of the lack of safety coverings we decided to put it in the spacious backseat of my truck. The workers rolled it out there and started refusing to load it because they said it wouldn’t fit and that it was too heavy. Me and my friend single handedly took the marbel top off and loaded the wood bulk of it in and then only after we had done that did they help us pick up the very heavy marbel top to put in the truck as well. I do not think they knew what they were doing and it was just rude and unprofessional to not help load something that she had just bought with a no...
Read moreSo a year ago I gave the place a four star rating. As of now, I have to give it a two. Why? As the store itself goes, I still enjoy going and digging around, and I still find a lot of useful stuff. It's a a lot better than the Bargain Hunt next door to it. The two star rating is due to the employees. They have gone completely down hill. Over the last 5-6 months it's been almost impossible to get any help with the electronics section, and when you finally get someone over there to hand you stuff to look at, they act like you're ruining their life. Just hateful. Then, there's this old lady that works there that seems to love scolding other people's kids, and not just that but yelling at them. I told my daughter to grab a cart. This old hag tries to give her a smaller one, which wasn't the one I told her to get, and proceeds to yell at my kids for getting a different cart, telling them they're not allowed to do that. I ask her what she thinks she's doing and she says, "I don't know." I told her that I asked for the other cart and not the one she was trying to force me to have and that I'll get whatever damn cart I want. As far as finding little treasures or good deals, the place is great. In terms of the staff that work there, just be ready to deal with rude and impatient people, as well as a crazy old nag that oversteps her boundaries, in every...
Read moreBefore you shop this store, make sure your expectations are realistic. Will you have to dig in bins for bargains? Absolutely (and experienced bargain hunters wear gloves). Will you find some amazing deals? Absolutely (especially if you download the Deal Finder App—without that, you’ll only guess what prices actually are). Will you find some duds? Absolutely (I’d stay away from anything electronic or marked “salvage” unless it’s 90% off and you’re a tinkerer). Adults and kids underwear were $1 each which is not a huge bargain, but not bad either. Swimsuits were $7.50 when I was there last. Some kid shoes were $14, but I also found some nice house slippers for only $4.00. Some back to school supplies are even cheaper than Walmart! Health and beauty products may have goo on the bottles that easily washes off and are heavily discounted depending on when they were receipted by the store. Check the tag on EVERY item. You might find two identical items with two different prices based on how long they’ve been floating around in the store. For example, I got a 10oz bottle of Suave hand sanitizer for only $0.15, but another of the same product/size was marked $1.20. There are some true dirt cheap bargains in this store, but don’t go if you’re in a hurry as no one else in this store will be....
