Bless her heart…! This was my first experience here and I was so disappointed. My family has eaten here previously and enjoyed the experience. Today not so much. We arrived to a sign on the door that stated they were out of blue crab. No problem as we were not there to eat any. We were sat immediately, but waited for 30 minutes before the hostess came over and told us who our server was and said she would help her by taking our drink order. Another 10 minute wait and our server brought us drinks. It was obvious that she was new but no one else on the wait staff seemed to help her or care that she was struggling. Another wait and she finally came and took our order. We ordered appetizers and our meal at the same time as we had already been there an hour. I ordered the salmon and she said there was no salmon left. She left to put our order in and disappeared. No, really… She disappeared. We would have gotten up and left, but we were celebrating my father-in-law‘s 81st birthday. He always has lobster on his birthday, so we continued the wait. Our waitress reappeared and we asked her if the appetizers were ready. She said the food would be out soon and the appetizers took longer. This was the moment that I definitely knew she had no clue how to wait a table. A few minutes later, she came back out with the appetizers. They were magically ready. She said the food would be out in another 20 minutes, but it was almost another hour. The food arrived and I had ordered the lobster tail with broccoli and rice I got lobster and broccoli but no rice We asked where the rice was and she said that it was still cooking and people had ordered before us. Again, a few minutes later, she appeared magically with rice. My father-in-law was happy so that is a plus. Please do better training your employees. We tipped her , because that is the proper thing to do, but ladies please help out your coworker and not talk about her behind her back. You were also new at your job once. I wish her well.
P.S. The ladies room was horrific. One toilet was out of service. The first stall had a sign that said to hold the handle down. I used the handicap stall and I had to fix the handle on the toilet in order to get it to flush. I don’t remember getting a Masters degree...

Hard to believe this place has been there for at least two years and we missed it. Saw a coupon special in Mint Magazine and decided to give Red Crab 🦀 a try... glad we did. Speaking of the Coupon, it expired the day before yet the manager approved the $10 off...class act. Drove into the strip mall off San Jose with several stores and plenty of parking. Arrived with no reservations at 6pm and seated in a nice comfortable booth. Leila was our 5 ⭐ server taking care of all your needs including explaining the menu. She is without a doubt an outstanding employee. Ordered drinks as well as a dz oysters fantastic for $20 and 5 ⭐ (only minor ask is getting horseradish). Clam Chowder soup was hot and hartey but could use more clams so 4 ⭐. I ordered the Crab legs, clams and shrimp with the combo sauce a nice 5 ⭐ large meal but might remove the cagun from the combo next time. Bill got Shrimp and Black mussels in a garlic butter sauce... very good with chunks of garlic 🧄. No room for dessert but enough take home for a nice meal. Bill vodka drink was good sized and only $5 a nice reasonable price that makes Red Crab 🦀 a place we will return to...
Read moreWe had a party of 10 with good expectations the 5:00 reservation would enjoyable. Let me say the waitress was super nice and very attentive. Although there was no backup for her to take our initial drink and appetizer order, so we waited...even after a request for a drink order... twice.... There was one other table occupied in the place and at least three employees walking around or eating at the bar. The food was on the pricey side, but it came out hot and timely. The main reason for this review was to comment how the environment was dirty, floors and walls moist to the point of being dripping wet, napkin holders sticky, and condiments empty until we requested full ones. The bathrooms were DISGUSTING! Floors sticky and dirty with a smell of sewer that was throughout. My first thought was if the bathrooms are this bad what is the kitchen like. We will never be back and will recommend others to avoid it. Whoever owns this restaurant should be ashamed and must spend some expense on hiring professional cleaning crews daily. I'm surprised the health department hasn't made a visit. And this is a...
