Five Guys — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Insanely high prices. Like, not even just a little high, they are actually insulting. I just payed almost $30 for a cheeseburger, fries, and a drink.

For this price, it should be the best burger I’ve ever had, but it was decent at best. Just another sloppy fast food burger. They also used to give a lot more fries than they do now but they have obviously reduced the amount of fries you get.

They fill up the tiny cup half way and pour a few more all over the bag to try to trick you but it’s about half of what they used to give.

You’d think at these prices, everything else in the restaurant would be top notch, but it’s not. Floor near the bathroom was disgusting and slippery, just waiting for someone to slip and fall. The bathroom was disgusting as well.

You’d think they would give you the ability to get a cup for ketchup at that price too, but you’d be mistaken there too. Not one single cup to put ketchup in, so you’re forced to get a bunch of packets, which you think isn’t a big deal until you realize all of the packets are covered in spilled coke and sauces.

Finally, by the time you find some relatively clean packets to use and head to the table, you sit down and touch the table just to realize how sticky it is. Then you eat your overpriced food while you try to forget about the fact that they haven’t cleaned these tables in weeks probably.

And after all of that, you still leave the place a little hungry because they have downsized their food sizes. Don’t let these people trick you into thinking it’s because of “inflation” either. There’s nothing wrong with prices going up with inflation, but these people clearly took advantage of consumers and price gouged to the max, while also shrinkflating their menu items.

You might be thinking I am just an angry customer that cares too much about little things, but honestly I haven’t written a review in years. I usually think it’s not worth the time, but this place really needs it.

I’m telling you, even if you make a billion dollars a year and can afford as many of these overpriced burgers as you want, there is a 100% chance you will leave this place...

I had review a five guys location at bartram park with a 5/5 star rating for its perfect customer service and kindness. I have always use this location particularly for its convenience but after today’s event that might change. Five guys overall is a great establishment with an overall basic routine nothing special but burgers and fries so I find it odd that they would seem to be having issues even during this pandemic. I had placed in online order on DoorDash for pickup at said location and arrived a bit early then when it was suppose to be ready. As I wait for what felt like hours soon frustrated me as I hoped that they would see that only a few people in store were waiting for orders and would announced what orders were ready regardless if it was by name or number as it soon turned to 15 minutes of waiting I asked the cashier is my order ready in which she asked the cooks and was told no. Okay? Doesn’t make sense since I order at 6:08 and it’s already 6:25 so I waited until I soon felt the frustration build even more so I asked again and they called out again but this time was told that it would only be 2 minute wait for the fries. Okay I guess? After they were told my order they saw in the back of the fry area ( where they placed bags that were ready for pick up ) and retrieve my order and just put fresh fries in my bag. At that point I felt this rage that I should throw my bag across the store and leave but realizing how out of character that would be I just left and felt the need to leave this review for you to see. I hope this is just a one time miscommunication of some sort and hope that it never happens to anyone else until...

This location was a huge disappointment. The staff taking orders were more concerned with their phones and social media than the paying customer in front of them. The food was just ok.. nothing to brag about and is overpriced. While we were eating a group of 7 came in. . . Adults and members of what looked like a soccer team . . . they were not treated well and you could tell they were being profiled/judged. . . white adults with both white and children of color. . . It was so obvious that we stopped eating and left. I do not need anyone to reach out to me concerning this location as there is nothing that anyone can say to me to make me want to return to this location or any other location. I will no longer purchase gift cards. Get it together... if you are going to charge a small fortune for fast food the least you can do if treat the...
