Sunset-Tan Janesville's Luxury Super Tanning Salon — Local services in Janesville

I have two problems with this place: the sneaky fine way they handle billing with account freezing, and the quality of their spray tans.

I paid for 2-3 months worth of subscription to their self-tanning booths, and did...2? Maybe 3 tans? The first tan was splotchy and uneven, which they said was because I wasn't using their "insurance" which was a very specific pre-tan lotion. I finally bought the lotion and tried another tan, which was better, but still weirdly splotchy and more orange than I liked. My at-home tanners are worlds better.

I went to the salon to cancel, and was offered a freeze instead. The lady at the desk said as long as I canceled by the end of the freeze I was good. I put the date in my calendar and went to the salon a couple months later to cancel before that date.

They inform me that in order to cancel my subscription, it requires that I pay for another month because of how their billing works, and I had missed that window. When I told them what I had been told, they said it was "part of the contract you signed."

Naturally, I was not happy. I understand the ultimate responsibility is with the signer to know the fine print, but it's just dirty business when you're told something...

My fave tanning spot I’ve been to and I have been to a lot over the years. They have the best equipment out of any of the other places in Janesville and the staff is also really great especially Ava she is the one that got me signed up she just has a really sweet genuine vibe and always makes me feel so welcome in her presence and it makes you want to keep coming back there is also another guy who works there very tan very attractive( it must be a rule that you have to be to work at a tanning place) also super nice like I said I have been to a lot of tanning places and I think can worked at one for a while and this one really does have the best employees which is what made me ultimately decide to tan here regularly and make this my regular spot I just think in these times with things being so polarizing and people being so stressed out you really notice when you go somewhere and you get like exceptional top notch customer service and the vibes are just ✨immaculate✨ every single time it just brightens your day and has an effect on you and I really...

A bunch of idiots work here. They advertise 2 or 3 dollar Sundays and when I asked about it the response I got was uhhh I don't think we do that. So I pulled their website and showed her her own workplaces promotion. She then asked me what level I wanted. I saisd 2 she gave me my total and it was 6 bucks!! I asked her if she forgot the promotion and she said no that promo is only for level one. She was going to charge me double because I wanted a different level and she wasn't going to even tell me. Fast forward to me getting done with my tan. I come out to my boyfriend who also tanned. And he tells me she charged him 6 bucks also! Only this time she stated that she charged him that because he is going to split his tan into 2 sessions. I asked her why the hell we would do that. We live in madison and were only in Janesville for family for one day. Why would I drive all the way back to Janesville for a 5 minute tan. They refused refund after this so we left. This place is shady and the employees are dense....
