I really can't say enough good things about Rick and Chris and they work they do at Drehobl Glass. Not only is it a third-generation family business, but the pride they take in their work is remarkable. I commissioned them to help design and create a stained glass of my husband's family crest for his birthday, and it the final result was even more spectacular than I ever could have hoped (you can see the picture of the crest I gave them below). These are true artisans, with no effort spared. The process did involve a bit of back and forth, as I had a very specific idea of what I wanted, and they were great at making sure all our communications were discrete so as not to ruin the surprise. Amazing place to visit, especially since the specialists in this art are not as prevalent as they were decades ago. Needed an 11"x11" piece of glass for a 150yr old home and after visiting several glass shops, found exactly what I needed at Drehobl! They cut & wrapped it while I waited, along with answering a few questions I had about the beveled and blown glass that's on display (for sale) in their front windows. Originally on Lincoln avenue, they've been on Irving Park for almost 20yrs. They do have an oven for vending glass but limited to smaller pieces. We worked with Rick Purro and Drehobl Art Glass on a stained glass window design for our home. Rick was so knowledgeable and the window came out beautifully. Rick helped us pick out a design and worked with us on custom colors and textures to make the design pop. They completed the window within the time frame promised and had it installed in our house quickly, using our original window frame. The piece is just beautiful!!
