A family member was at the dog park today with her dog. A very non aggressive fixed male Rottwieler mix. There we two men who happened to be gay with 2 huskies. Her rott was trying to play and jumped up on one of their huskies. He took his dogs strap and started Hitting her rott with it, claiming her rott was aggressive. This is the most gentle dog. These men had no right to strike her pet. She left the park distraught and in tears. Something needs to be done about this behavior. I am outraged! I have brought my pet there as well. I was one of the first to even start the petition to get this dog park in the works 12 years ago. The people that bring their dogs there are not friendly they are all in clicks and dominate the park most of the time. There is no one there to check to make sure the dogs have their papers or are up to date on their shots. My shepherd got the dog flu there twice. I since have stopped going. If you do not mine rude people then I recommend this place. Otherwise stay away and just walk your dog in the...

I was attacked today by a dog who is known to have daily incidents at this dog park. the owners sits on the dog park board, which is disappointing., Of all people he should know that vicious/snapping dogs are not allowed at the park. I’ve seen his dog attack other dogs before. Today as I removed my dog from an unprovoked attack, the dog ā€œEarlā€ bit my shoulder and arm. I was left with a torn shirt and visible bite marks on my arm and shoulder. The owner is a very nice man, so I hope he understands why he should not bring his dog to the park or at least not at times when other dogs...

I really haven't been to many dog parks but since adopting a German Shorthaired Pointer Puppy a few months ago, I have been in desperate need of an open dog safe space. My only complaint is that there are not enough dog parks further west seeing as portage park is about 20 min east of me. Nonetheless I am thankful for this dog park. It was clean and pretty busy but not overwhelming. Everyone there was friendly and my puppy loved it. There is also a water fountain and water bowls for the dogs as well as benches for...

Is a good space for my puppies to play, spacious, they provide bags sometimes, friendly people, just be careful with the unfriendly dogs, my 5 months old puppy got attacked by one in the dog park, thanks to the people who helped me.

The people there looked at my bully as if he was going to kill thier dog. He's only 8months old and they looked more dangerous then my dog. So I only let my older dog in.
