I went to Ela’s for the hydrating hair treatment and scalp massage. Wow! I lay comfortably on a spa table while being pampered and taking in the amazing scents, the calming music and enjoying a scalp massage. She used a variety of botanicals/tonics and treatments that smelled so good while also massaging my head, and running water over my head that was just so pleasant. The mint tonic in itself was an experience. Have you ever used tee tree oil products in your hair that make your scalp tickle and feel cooled and refreshed? Well multiply that by 100. I must have it again!! She then uses steam over your head and hair that does wonders for your hair and skin. The finishing touch is a folded towel under your head that she rotates back and forth getting all those kinks out of your neck muscles. I really like that she will only talk as much as you talk during this treatment. I appreciate it because when you are relaxing, sometimes that’s all you want to do. Although my haircut came out great I also asked to have ombre done and what I got was very badly done chunky highlights. There’s one giant platinum streak in the middle of my hair, highlights look overgrown, and the entire tone of my hair is brassy. I can’t believe the stylist let me leave the salon like this.
