I recently moved to Taylorsville Kentucky. It did not take me too long to find the Sweet Savannahās there. Pretty much each time I drove by, I felt I should stop in the place and pay them a visit. I had gone three times but last Friday I took a friend with me to run some errands and stop by Sweet Savannahās in Taylorsville. To make a very long story as short as possible, when I left, there were no car keys to be found. I am not prone to thinking the worst, but I had to get AAA to open the car then I had to get a AAA tow truck to come pick me up And bring me back to the place where I was now living, 3 miles down the road. Of course, I went through my purse over three times, searched Under my car over three times and even ask the lady friend to check her purse , etc. The young lady worker;at the time,, helped me check every place. She even put gloves on and went through the garbage can in case I had accidentally thrown them in there. . Not to be found in the bathroom. I was not panicking, but I was thinking, but What could happen if I didnāt get the keys? The lady friend and I thought of every single possibility and we were totally mystified. I called the yogurt business back Friday night and Saturday and Sunday. I suggested they look through their security tape. They did but no luck. I asked them to please keep my name and phone number and call me in case some child had seen them and picked them up and the parent didnāt realize they had something until they found them in a pocket or something They were extremely nice and you could tell very concerned about the whole situation. About 10 minutes after I called them Sunday they called me back saying they may Have found the keys. I asked them to show me what they had found.. With a loud squeal, which Iām sure indicated to them that those were mine, I thanked them over and over and told them Iād be right back there to pick them up. I went back, they showed me the keys, I identified them as mine and ask them where in the world had they found them. They had a case next to the counter where you Place your order. The top glass slides left and right so they can scoop their vegan ice cream out for a client. Around the front and each side of that case was about a half an inch opening. They mustāve moved that case and found my keys. I was so pleased, thankful and appreciative of all the effort they went through that I offered them a little bit of money which they refused to take. I would have believed there was no way that that whole fob with the key and the tag on it could have gotten down that space. It surely managed to slide in there. My point for all this lengthy review is to say not only are the yogurt and toppings wonderful, but the workers there should be commended very highly. I was probably a little testy when I spoke to them on the phone today because I was sweating all potential problems that could occur in months to You should be proud of the ladies you have hired for this sweet Savannahās And feel very comfortable that they are taking care of the business and in extremely positive way. It was a young lady, and I think the manager who were there. Thank you, thank you...

I have been visiting Sweet Savannah's for the past two years and up until my most recent visit never had an issue. Past experiences always included friendly staff, good atmosphere and a great product. Even when the COVID pandemic first hit back in March 2020, the integrity of the store never changed. It wasn't until very recently when my experience due to purely operational procedures turned into an unpleasant one. So prior to my recent visit the general "self serve procedure" was pretty simple - determine the cup size you want, fill it up with soft serve, fill it up with toppings, pay based on the cup size you chose, then leave. The only true impact COVID has on the customer experience was in order to promote social distancing & due to the small size of the shop, only one party could be served at a time - in my opinion that was never a big deal, in fact at one point I preferred it. However now its completely different - you must first select your size and pay for the product up front, go fill up on soft serve then instruct the employee what toppings you would like so they themselves can fill up your cup. Now if they still had the one party at a time rule, this change wouldn't be as bad, but when multiple parties are allowed in the store at one time AND there is only one employee to run the register plus serve the toppings it becomes a bit of a logistical nightmare. While I was able to attain patience, others were not and I honestly cannot say I blame them. The concept of the store is to allow patrons the opportunity to serve themselves frozen yogurt through the entire process up until check out. When the self serve part is taken out of only half of the equation, the flow of the experience is disrupted at a high rate and it becomes very transparent. So my suggestion for management is to either go back to full self service mode or become a full service shop similar to Maggie Moos where every party is assigned an employee to serve them through the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSweet Savannah Frozen Yogurt is a delightful little place on Taylorsville Road. We've driven by this place dozens of times and finally decided to visit on a Sunday afternoon for a mid-day snack...plus, Jim had a sweet tooth that needed to be addressed.
Sweet Savannah's is a small place with just a handful of tables. The snackery (I just made that up) is decorated in bright shades of pink and blue. There are 4 machines with 8 different flavors of froyo and sorbet. If you're feeling daring, each machine also has a spot to mix both flavors in that machine in equal portions.
One of the things that makes Sweet Savanna's different from most froyo places is that they don't charge by the weight, but by the cup you purchase. If you purchase a medium sized cup, that's the price you pay. You can pile things up as high as you can and it won't cost extra. Pretty nifty, given that you'd get charged more elsewhere.
They have a good variety of toppings, also. Fresh fruit and berries, mushed and mangled candy bars and assorted sweets, and several syrups to enhance your already sweet endeavour. The possibilities are, quite literally, endless. (Ok, you could put your Mathematician hat on and do some 4th year algebra with a slide rule, a calculator, and and an abacus to come up with the exact number but...really...why?)
For me, it always comes down to berries. Strawberry Froyo topped blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries.
The girl that was working was friendly and helpful and answered any questions we had. When not taking care of us she was busy stocking and cleaning, and the place was very clean and well-stocked.
The decorations are thematically on-point, with my favorite pieces being the two clocks made up of color ice cream spoons.
They also offer hot chocolate, coffee, and Dippin' Dots. Seriously, if you walk in this place with a sweet tooth that needs to be addressed and it's not satisfied, it's not their fault. Just look around! Everything you need is...
