I saw some deals online so I went to the store to sign up. The deals required trade-in of old devices, and the online system was not working. I told the lady exactly what phones, plans, services, offers I wanted.
I think she didn't know all the details, so she started making stuff up. I wanted the unlimited basic plan, which came with calling and texting to/ from Canada included. She and her partner proceeded to tell me that when the sign says "unlimited talk and text plus 500mb LTE data", it was only referring to certain parts of Canada, not the whole country. They also said that if I were in Canada, I'd have to pay international roaming charges (I don't remember the amounts, but they were unreasonably high). She offered me two different international options to call Canada, which both still had per minute and per-text charges (on top of the $5 and $15 monthly charges)
The phone I wanted to get on flex lease had a $150 down payment listed online, but the lady told me it would be$250.
I didn't feel right with this salesperson so I walked out and called sprint. They gave me a totally different story. Canada calling and texting IS included in all the unlimited plans (it isn't in some older, limited data plans). My phone was supposed to be $150, not $250. Got exactly what I expected from a different sprint store.
I'm okay with people not knowing everything, especially if it's something new. This lady was confident in what she was saying, and had I not had the instinct to walk away, she would have sold me tons of unnecessary things. Be careful when you walk in here, they don't always know what they're saying, even if it...
Read moreNot even a one star experience! I made an appointment online to upgrade my phones after a horrible experience at an Hilliard store (separate low rating-see Fishin location review) in June. I even called and spoke with the manager Kevin on Saturday to confirm and ask about restrictions due to COVID. He told me some story about him being the only person working the following day so I might have to wait. And wait I did in 90 degree heat. My son and I arrived about 5 minutes before our appointment. The door to the store was locked. The sign said, âBe back in 10 minutesâ. 50 minutes and two voicemails later, no Kevin! I immediately called sprint customer service. They told me to call the store manager about the experience. I said it was the store manager! Customer service did not care and told me to make an appointment with another store or order online. Seriously, after being a sprint paying customer who never missed a payment, all you can do is tell me to go to another store or order the phones online! I took a deep breath and ordered online because I did not want to change carriers. When I asked customer service to waive the shipping fee due to my two horrible store experiences, the guy says, âwe donât waive that fee for anyoneâ. Well, screw you, this nobody is taking my hard earned money and going to your...
Read moreTalk about bait and switch! I am so disappointed with this location. I went with my wife to get a family plan. We asked about current promotion for trading in our old phones and getting new phones for our family. Our sales person confirmed the trade in values and what we would expect to pay. We agreed and started the process. Cancelled AT&T and only then were told we canât finance the new phone and have to pay upfront for them. We left at that point, only to realize that we went through the motions to cancelled AT&T. Came back paid to have 2 phones activated. The sales person said give him a day and a half to get everything sorted out. 5 days later and no updates. Contacted customer service and they escalated the issue but that will take 8 days to...
