The restaurant is very clean and open inside. The food was quite good but the prices are on the high side - $80ish for our meal. My husband ordered General Tsos and two beers. He really liked the dark beer, but he likes beers you can “chew”. I had the Sesame Chicken and a soda, and we split Calamari. Our friend (her bill was $40ish) said she enjoyed her Cashew Chicken. She also ordered the Chicken Pineapple Fried Rice. It was tasty but unique and unusual. It was delivered in a half a hallowed-out pineapple. She ordered hot tea. It came in a cup, versus a pot of tea, and had an odd flavor - like a “smoked” taste, is the best way I could describe it. I had ordered one before the soda but did not care for the it. The server said it was “Healing Japanese Green Tea”. You have to try yourself to understand the oddity of it - not terrible just not for my palate - IMHO. The appetizer salad had a typical ginger dressing. Order it on the side, if you don’t want a large PLOP on the lettuce. The portions were large, enough to take home to reheat. I am told the pineapple chicken did not reheat well, though. Reheating was hard on the consistency.
All-in-all, an enjoyable meal, just on the high...
Read moreFrom the first pull on the entrance door this restaurant's interior design begins to impress. The beautiful woodwork, the darkened ceiling, the bar, and the Sushi Bar are some of the featured elements.
When we arrived, we had a 5 minute wait. I noticed that there is a lack of Maneki-Neko (Lucky Beckoning Cats) The whole restaurant was packed! We were escorted to our booth which had a great view of the restaurant. We ordered the Hot and Sour Soup and the Spring Rolls for starters. I was not sure about the non-traditional vegetables being added to familiar dishes. The restaurant's name says Fusion, so we didn't ask for them to be removed from the dishes. For our entrées, we chose the Beef Fried Rice and the Chicken Kung Pao. Both were very good. I noticed that the Kung Pao's flavor richened as I ate it. I enjoyed the jicama, the green beans, the asparagus, and the peppers (though I do wish they were cut into smaller pieces). The Beef was really tender and the rice was seasoned nicely for the Beef Fried Rice. All in all, this is a fantastic,...
Read moreMy husband and I recently moved to the Plain City area and came across Wild Ginger when looking for restaurants near us. Their reviews do not lie! As soon as we walked in we could tell It was going to be a great experience. We were greeted promptly by the hostess and seated right away. Establishment was very clean and smelled AMAZING. We ordered the spring rolls for appetizer and they tasted as if they were homemade and came steaming hot to the table. For entrees we got the honey walnut shrimp w/chicken, Tom yum ramen noodles with beef, and spider roll sushi to share and everything came to the table again, hot and quick. Portions were big enough to share everything. Sushi was very refreshing and tasted like It was even recently caught! lol not something you find very often in the Columbus area, but It did taste very fresh. You can tell most of their food is homemade and not just microwaved like most restaurants. Waitresses were great and very attentive. We will definitely be returning and so excited that we are so near to this...
