I had a package delivered to this location that was allegedly perhaps stolen by one of the workers. I always have packages delivered here so this came as a surprise, I also have seen several new faces being that it’s the holidays but that’s neither here nor there. The package was delivered on 12/14/2022 which was signed by the manager Jackie. I then called shortly after to confirm that the package was received and Jackie agreed. I came to the location on 12/15/2022 and the package was nowhere to be found. The odd thing is I already had a package that sat there since 12/12 but I guess the contents were less desirable so that one remained untouched. I reached back out to the carrier that delivered the package and they 100 percent confirmed that the package was delivered & I also have proof that it was signed for . Nothing has been done & I still have no package. I don’t appreciate being potentially stolen from and this issue needs to be looked into thoroughly, may that mean cameras being pulled and I also will be filing a complaint both verbal as well as written with the corporate offices and I have already filed a BBB complaint. This will reach the highest level that it possibly can and my package will be returned. I think this is very distasteful and unbelievable that someone within that office is potentially stealing and not having any consequences taken upon them .
UPDATE* I returned to the store and made the owner aware that I would be filing a police report and then all of a sudden the box showed up.Thanks to the staff for finding my package , I definitely appreciate you all. We don’t even have to mention that the box was tampered with because of course, that’s a mystery as well . The owner asked me to delete the review and I will not as this was my experience. The owner is also saying that I accused the staff of stealing because they are “brown” people. I understand that she is projecting and is holding on to the thought process of a baby boomer. She does not know me whatsoever, race shouldn’t even be mentioned as it is not a factor. I am as pro black as it gets . I literally just left this UPS location (store #6990) where Jackie attempted to charge me an additional $5.00 to pick up a package that I'd already paid shipping for. Not a COD, but a "pick-up fee". She initially informed me that it was because I did not rent a mailbox, then stated that I had the package rerouted from my home, which I did not. I explained that I deliberately chose UPS shipping via my retailer & had it delivered to a UPS store BECAUSE it's a UPS STORE! She immediately copped a defensive attitude when I requested a copy of the policy showing the mandatory $5.00 pick-up fee since it was not displayed on either their website, the UPS website, my receipt or the proof of delivery confirmation signed by, you guessed it... Jackie! She then played the victim, gaslighting me by saying, "You know what, I don't have time for this today. Just take the package and you have a great day." I took my package because, I paid for it & was already having a great day when she tried to extort an additional $5.00 from me. Per the UPS website - which Jackie referred to in defense of her fee reqest - my item did not receive any additional "handling" nor did it qualify for any additional fees. If this UPS store #6990 & its employees arbitrarily charge untraceable, undocumented & untaxed cash add-on fees, then I'm sure the NJ Secretary of State would be glad to hear about it. Read moreNo my first time there, picking up my packages, never got charged before, today the lady charged me 5 dollars to pick up part of my order - and yeah she confirmed that when I pick up the other package from the rest of the same order I will also be charged another 5 dollars! I told her I was never charged before, she mentioned that probably the other person who handled the packages was not doing the job right. I was: ma'am it was you, you were always the person who handled me the packages and you never charged me before. I have no idea what's going on there, if they really charge, they are supposed to make sure costumers are aware of this. I called UPS Management and already opened a claim for this.
FOLLOW UP. I was contacted from UPS management. No UPS store should be charging for picking ups. My 5 dollars were refunded and my second package was there all the time. Thanks UPS for quickly taking care...
