I was happy going to this range, location was great and staff was friendly. Took my online LTC course and their site specifically says $45 for the shooting portion, call to reserve. I did just that and the instructor told me to come on in. I get there and the young lady behind the counter tells me it’s $150 and considered a private lesson, since it’s not the end of the month? Wasn’t told this over the phone. No mention of it on the site. By his reaction the instructor didn’t seem to know this either. Also would like to point out, the end of the month LTC class she referred to (which I clearly wasn’t there for) is $89 on their site. How’d we get to $150, idk. Oh well. No thanks! EDIT FOR OWNER’S RESPONSE I see you’ve updated your website, which confirms I was right. Your response makes things worse because you are the one who is confused. I saw Allen behind the counter a week ago at Shiloh and asked him about the LTC shooting portion. He said he was the guy and I could take it with him any Saturday or every other Sunday. Sounds like an in house instructor to me. I called the morning of 9/14 and spoke with Allen again, who told me to come right in for the test. I drove 45 min and met with Allen at the front desk, at which point the young lady said it would be $150 and treated as a private lesson. Allen then said to me “OH, I don’t have anything to do with that.” He looked just as surprised as I did! Why would Allen tell me to come in and not mention the cost would be triple? Seems he didn’t even know about this. Also, I called back in the afternoon to confirm with another employee who mentioned this info was on a brochure, but that they would have to update the site. So before getting all bothered find out all the facts, and don’t be so quick to respond. A simple, sorry, there was some confusion with the info given out by our employee would have been suffice. I’m the one who wasted time driving in when your employee told me to come in for a $45 shooting test that was really going to be a $150 private lesson fee. Is that clearer now? Great thing out of all of this, there’s plenty of ranges to choose from! God Bless 2ND EDIT AFTER OWNER’S USELESS RESPONSE: I NEVER ASKED FOR THE PRIVATE CLASS. I ASKED FOR THE LTC SHOOTING EXAM WHICH ALLEN SAID HE WOULD DO. I JUST TOOK THE EXAM TODAY AT A MUCH BETTER RANGE FOR $50. How were they able to understand what I needed? Probably because it’s pretty straightforward. If you’re still having trouble comprehending this as well, then again,...
Read moreMy husband posted a review and the response from Shiloh was completely INCORRECT and they added False information to it. Neither myself nor my daughter in law advised we had never shot when we were checking in. My husband, myself, and our son all advised we had been in there prior and should be in their system. That right there would tell you that I personally had shot there before. My daughter in law advised she had not shot our handguns before, but never stated she has never shot a gun before. The employee that checked us in advised we had to take the test. The gun he wanted me to use was not one I was familiar with, so I asked if I could use my gun which is a SIG. He said that would be ok. I PASSED the test with my gun by the way. However, since my slide doesn’t lock, he made me use a different gun that I wasn’t familiar with. Contrary to the comment about cars working the same on advising where that the gas pedal and steering wheel are in the same place, this is NOT TRUE of guns! Anyone that works with guns should know this right??? I know this, but I guess you don’t??? On my SIG the slide doesn’t lock… Hmm… Different than the one you gave me??? I think so. Also, my magazine release is under the magazine at the bottom of the gun. The gun I was given had a button on the side which when I pushed it the magazine flew out! When I release my magazibe, I pull it out it doesn't fly out of the gun. Yet again another difference here! I can point any shoot any gun handed to me, but that doesn’t mean I can completely operate that gun. However, I can operate my gun. Since I didn't pass the test on "YOUR" gun I was advised I would have to take the test. My husband NEVER said it might be good for me to take the test. We are well aware that if we break something anywhere, we go we are expected to pay for it. However, what about that fact that one of the lanes we were in the target system kept locking and wouldn't send/retrieve the target? I don't recall any discount for your equipment not working correctly. Now, how about your company being honest in responding to reviews placed if a customer or in this case customers (group of 4) are not happy with the customer service received at your facility. Try not making up fictitious statements that...
