This location has always had great things considering the area. But the customer service wasn't there for a very long time. BUT Saturday! I went in around 2:13 and the first thing I noticed was the store looked revamped! They had a floorset! It looks organized! Refreshed! And most importantly inviting!
Normally I will sometimes get a greeting and that's it. No one would ask me for cart or nothing. BUT this time I was greeted, I was asked if I wanted a cart and if I was finding everything okay. That never happened to me and I've been coming here for years.
I went to try my clothes on and I was told to go to a fitting that was open. I think they are letting the counting items before going in go. But still friendly!
Checking out blew me away! I was waiting in line and it was a lot of clothes someone was purchasing. And this guy I believe works in the kids store attached to Uptown Cheapskate was maybe helping the store out. He asked if someone could check me out.
I know I keep saying normally BUT normally you will just have to wait. There would be 3 or 4 people behind the register and only one person checking people out. Not this time! Cassidy who checked me out was so nice! The guy who asked if someone could check me out was not only nice but so funny!
The entire shopping experience was completely different and I am so proud that this is my Uptown Cheapskate. I did a survey once and was asked to follow up and I did but nothing changed for minute so I never did more surveys when asked. But Saturday was a great day there. I feel like I am going to continue to have great days going there moving forward.
You guy's have to go there if you haven't already! Not all Uptown Cheapskates are the same vibe or same brands! If you love Anthropologie, Madewell, Free People etc. This is the location that has more of these brands on a regular and so much more! And the shopping...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been a loyal customer of Uptown Cheapskate for over 5 years until today. All of my prior experiences have been pleasant up until today. I had dropped off my clothes on Friday late before they closed, and when I came back today to pick my items that they did not want I was informed that they had been given to charity. Mind you when you check in there are two options, pick up remaining items or donate to charity, I had selected pick up remaining items. I was told that they donate the clothes from the day before every morning before opening. When the employee shared that my items had already been donated and given away he did not ask if I would like to speak to a manager or try to help me resolved this mistake they had made. I then asked where they had been taken and all he could give me was a number. When looking up this number it was connected to a charity clothing facility. After trying to call the number and the call being cut off every time without even ringing, I figured why not just try to drive to the facility. Well when I arrived to the location of the facility, there was no such thing as HOPE clothing donations to be found. This is also the only donation center in Georgia called HOPE that collects clothes so knowing this I starting thinking had I just been scammed? Again with no help from the employee from the store I am not left with nothing. I will not settle until I am in contact with a manager. I am also going to contact the BBB for some guidance. This is more than unsettling because if you are donating clothes to a ācharityā but the ācharityā is no where to be found, where are all of these clothes going? Anyone else had this issue occur to them...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time selling here and definitely will be the last. I dropped my items off after the buying hrs. All the person asked me is if the items they choose not to purchase can be donated. I advised no. She asked me if this was my first time selling there i said yes, but have sold to kid to kid at different location. I signed a kid to kid form. She lets me know that I will get an email in the morning advising when it was ready. I get an email saying that they bought my items for $20. I called to ask them when I can pick my things up. They told me i couldn't that because I left i forfeited my right to say I dont want to accept their buying price. I asked them what they bought. Morgan the manager stated they bought Ambercrombie items, Gap casual pants, 2 pair of ann taylor casual pants, a knit top and RAG N BONE! To which the RAG n BoNE jeans they gave me approx $6 bucks for!!! I got nowhere with her accepting accountability for the low balling of for her staff lack of explanation for anything. Take your things to Alexis Consignment, once upon a Child, Revive consignment, to be honest even platos closet pays more than that! Waste of time Kid to Kid and uptown cheapskate. I promise I WILL NEVER DO BUYING OR SELLING AT ANY LOCATION AGAIN AND I PROMISE TO SPREAD THE WORD. Uptown cheapskate is just that... CHEAPSKATES. You would do way better on private sale or garage sale. Save your time and gas. By the time you pull up and sell to them you are already at a loss in profit....
