Unfortunately, Google Reviews won't let me write everything here. So I'll just start this by saying: this is by far THE WORST experience we have ever had! Worst deliver drivers and installers. Incompetent, careless, rude and very dismissive.
Employee who took orders was also very dismissive when we told him about the situation with our driveway. Which, as we knew would happen, ended up being a huge part of the problems that followed.
In fact, the SAME PERSON ultimately took 3 of our orders and downplayed it each time when we told him about our driveway. You'd think he would have learned the FIRST TWO TIMES. We reminded him of the situation each time, so it isn't because he "forgot".
This isn't even the tip of the iceberg of EVERYTHING that happened. But, like I said, Google Reviews restrictions...
Recently, we went into our local store for something else, and we walked through the appliance section. An employee, that we have a fairly good rapport with, came up and asked if we ever got the problems straightened out. Very sweet lady.
While we were having casual conversation with her, another employee that apparently works in that department came up.
Almost immediately she just took over the conversation. In fact, the sweet employee walked away not long after this started. So, unfortunately, she didn't witness what followed.
Mind you, we weren't in there to complain. She just happened to overhear our conversation with a genuinely concerned employee.
This second employee was very dismissive, defensive, domineering and wouldn't let us speak without interrupting AND she kept raising her voice at us!
It felt on the verge of harassment.
She already knew of our previous complaints because before we said much, she was like, "Oh, you're the ones with the long driveway".
We had never even talked to her, so she was basing her opinion purely on what she HEARD from others! Not good customer service.
So this second employee wasn't at all interested in our situation. Everything we attempted to say, she almost immediately interrupted with some condescending excuse!
When I said, "Another issue could be that a lot of people don't complain because they know nothing will get solved, and we're proof of that". She then said that was only "our experience" (as if we're the only people that complain! Yeah right!). First off, how would she know? Does she talk to every customer?
I told her we have actually talked to other people that feel this way. That's when she, in essence, CALLED ME A LIAR and walked away!
That last employee is the venomous icing on the cake; on top of everything we had already endured! She was one of the most condescending, dismissive and domineering employees I have ever met.
And I'll repeat: We weren't even in there to complain this time. She overheard a casual conversation we were having with a very sweet employee; and she jumped in and started acting like God Almighty!
By the way, I just got through watching a video from a news outlet where they interviewed people that had much worse issues than we did. So it's an outright fabrication for her to say, "Our experience was a rare exception".
However, even IF she was right that this was a "rare experience"; does that negate everything we went through?? Is she actually saying a "rare experience" is to be written off? That's exactly how she treated us!
P.S. Please, Home Depot, don't reply and give any more excuses. Unless you want to give yet one more thing we can include in a video we're going to make about our entire experience! And we may even contact that same local news outlet about this!
I do want to commend the lady whose name begins with "K". I don't want to spell it out, for her privacy. But it's an uncommon name that usually begins with "C". You know who are you. Thank Jesus there are still sweet...
Read moreIf I could have given this Home Depot Store a 0 star for my experience tonight, 9:20 PM EST on 03-13-20, I would.
I came into the store with the intention of purchasing a washer, since mine just died tonight. After looking online and identifying the one I wanted which showed as in stock with free delivery, I walked into the store and went immediately to the service desk. There were 3 employees (2 black chicks and 1 older Hispanic) standing around shooting the breeze. I said excuse me, could you please have someone assist me in appliances and the main chick at the service desk on a computer said no one is over in appliances at this time.
I responded that's fine; however, can you have an employee or manger come over there and help me locate the washer I want to get, set up the delivery date and ring me up for it. The same chicks next statement was "well if it has a yellow tag on it, then it can't be delivered, and you will have to get it yourself and get your own cables".
I responded I have no idea if it has a yellow tag as I confirmed it was in stock online and simply need someone to walk over there with me, I mean its standard customer service. I came in here to spend money, not debate with you about a yellow sticker I know nothing about when no one has even walked with me back there to check out the merchandise. She kept going on and on and finally the other black chick much nicer stepped in and said, “I’ll walk with you back there and we can locate the item in question and see if it’s in stock”.
She was frustrated with the others and their lack of wanting to help me. We walked back there, check on the item and then went back up to the front of the store where, the 1st chick that was going on and on about the yellow sticker was asked to ring up the order. That girl was on a personal phone call on speaker phone mind you, while chick #2 was trying to give her the SKU # for the item and she couldn't understand what was being said between the team member providing the SKU and her phone call.
I got frustrated and said to chick #1 can we get down to business and you take your personal call later? Her response "it is my business and it's about my daughter” and my response was aren't you on the clock for Home Deport? Well if you can’t conduct business and need to deal with a personal phone call then step aside and let someone else finish the transaction. She gave me more lip before walking away and chick #2 was just shaking her heard in embarrassment and was very apologetic about the experience.
Since the washier couldn't be delivered to me in time, plus my frustration with the bad experience I told chick #2 thanks, but I will go over to Best Buy and get the washer from them. After leaving the North Fulton Home Depot on State Bridget at 930 PM EST, I went over to Best Buy and dealt with a wonderful black lady in their appliance section. Cynthia was her name and she made the experience very pleasant, professional and easy to conduct business. In 15 minutes, I was in and out of the store with my order scheduled for a Tuesday 03-17-20 delivery date. My total Transaction cost with removal fee came to $572.93. Imagine that! The Home Depot store of North Fulton could have easily made that money off of one transaction very quickly, had they hired the right people out of the gate; eager to provide good customer service, rather than giving lip and attitude when someone asks for help.
I'm black and I sure as heck didn't appreciate the experience I had at the Home Depot of North Fulton, Store #0131 on State Bridge Road in Johns Creek GA. I feel sorry for chick #2 who had to apologize for the lack of interest the other two gave me, plus the lip I was getting. Rest assured; I will tell everyone I know not to shop there. They aren't ready...
Read moreJust like any other store or company, there are great, mediocre, and terrible employees. My mother and I were very fortunate to work with an outstanding employee - Christine at the Customer Service section on Wednesday, 3/25/2020. Through these unprecedented times, Christine provided us with beyond exceptional customer service. Her meticulous follow through on our issue was unexpected and we are so grateful for her strong work ethic!! Just like some other reviews. We've noticed some other workers who were hanging around, eating snacks, bothering other employees for conversation, texting on her phone, not picking up the ringing customer service desk phones (which Christine picked up two calls while assisting us to tell the callers on the other end that she will get back to them even though Christine asked the terrible other co-worker to pick up the ringing phone THREE times). Not to mention that the customer service line was backed up by 3 customers. My advice to management is to correct these performance issues on the spot or pull the employees aside to let them know how to properly conduct themselves professionally. Just like the other negative reviews, it can all be mitigated if management properly conducts performance management. Regardless, we are so thankful that we had Christine to assist us and our concerns with our issue. We left knowing that Christine will follow through and make sure our issue was resolved even after we left the store. I would give way more than 5 stars for Christine's EXCEPTIONAL professionalism and customer service. Please hire more Christine's! She is amazing and incredible! I really hope management recognizes her commitment to the company and it's core values of "excellent customer service, taking care of our people, building strong relationships, doing the right thing." I can't commend her enough. Thank...
