Office Depot — Local services in Johnson City

i have to give this store a 5. better than my kingsport location for 2 reasons. selection availability and staffing. this store had a few more ppl than my own location store. secondly, the manager named HARRISON is whom helped me with selecting a chair. he was personable, knowledgeable as well as easy to communicate with. i mention that aspect due to i am ( not from these parts) if one knows what that means. harrison helped me first with the chairs, was kind enough to even let me line up a few in a row to try them out as it made it easier for me to try them out due to my ailment at this time. once doing so i had a few to chose from. harrison answered any question i had good or bad in reference to the chairs themselves. i left to get lunch and make my choice of chair, came back, harrison helped me again. this is all before i found out he was a manager of some sorts at this location too may i add. harrison once i made my selection was kind enough to get the chair for me and put it in the shopping cart. i proceeded to the register. i wanted to pay but also wanted to use the store credit card they have so i wanted to apply. boy times have a changed. no store credit app, as it is one on register we found out. years back store credit info was plastered everywhere in stores. harrison went above and beyond to get info on how to apply. once we found out, i applied at the register as where DAKOTA was very helpful with checking me out and performing the application processes. once that process was done, dakota took my payment info and sale was completed. i am very pleased with this location, with all the help i received from both harrison and dakota i highly recommend to shop on a sunday morning or afternoon when they...

I was there yesterday to pickup some needed items for work. I also applied for the Rewards Card and Credit Card (personal) while I was there. The blonde lady was helpful, but flat out LIED about the fact that getting an Office Depot credit card DOES put a hard inquiry on your credit, which I had to find out the hard way. She gave me a temporary credit card pass until I could get my card, which will arrive in about two weeks or so. I went in there today as I had forgot to pickup a planner and some pens I needed for my new work and I was denied service by two male employees that work at your store. One of them was a lot older and he was nice at first but the supervisor guy was extremely rude and wasted my time. I walked out of there empty-handed and extremely disappointed. My new career starts on Monday and I desperately needed supplies but was denied service and your employees were very rude and condescending to say the least. This happened around 2:30/3 p.m. today in your store. I had spent over an hour trying to find supplies and ultimately found the perfect planner and pens I really needed, but could not get due to greediness and "fine print." I don't even know if I will ever be back to this specific store ever again. Your employees...

I have been in this store quite a few times only for the purpose of using the self serve print center. This time was worst!! I understand that I walked in the door right at 8:54pm and they close at 9pm. I was going doing what I needed to do as quickly as possible, the machine is a little slow, when an older employee came over to me and said, "You know we close in two minutes?" I get it, employees wanna go home, but I've been in a business that makes you feel like you have to leave in the middle of what you're doing because it was cloaing time. I felt like he was watching me nonstop and it made me uncomfortable and rushed. Unfortunately I did not finish what I went in there to do and ended up leaving empty-handed. I did hear him lock the doors and at that time I stopped what I was doing and finished up checking out from the machine and started towards the front door. He waited until I walked past him and said he had to unlock the door, but in my opinion he was rude and impolite. Unfortunately, this is the only place I am aware near me to do the printing and facing I needed to do at a reasonable price. If I had somewhere else to go, I would NEVER step foot in there again.
