This is how valuable customers are at Holiday Lane. We decided last Thursday that we would go bowling. When we arrived they were packed hardly a place to park. Once inside they told us that they were booked up. That sucked but it was understandable so we asked if we could make a reservation for tonight. They said of course so we booked a reservation for 8:30 on New Years Eve. So tonight we arrive and we approach the counter. The gentleman working said that we could not bowl because they booked a last minute party for all 24 lanes. After discussing for a moment my husband asked for the owner's contact information, Mr. Kirkpatrick. The worker told me to hang on and brought the owner's son out. I made him apologize to my kids who now have nothing to do. He offered us a free pass to come back but that's not what we wanted. After a short discussion we left. Half way home we decided to go back my husband was not satisfied. He went in alone and again asked to speak to the owner's son. They went into the office had a discussion and then he requested the owner's phone number. He was actually there. He didn't even care to come talk to me the first time. Once he came I again explained the situation and he once again offered a free bowl. I don't want a free bowl. So when pushed on why our reservation was cancelled he blamed it on his employee. He said his employee made the mistake. Awesome leadership ability blaming your employees. After a bit more conversation we left. My husband told the gentleman working the counter that he was sorry it wasn't his fault. We are not sorry for our actions but after meeting the owner I am sorry he has to work for someone that cares so little about his staff or his customers. The owner made a short sighted decision to make a quick profit instead of caring about the long term stability of his business. We bowl there frequently, I bowled there when I was younger, and our kids would have probably bowled there when they got older. Not now, he claims to not know the party directly but integrity left this place the moment he pushed blame down so I rightfully do not believe them. While we are not going to make him rich ourselves I am hoping that are story and the other people who were being turned away at the door will voice their opinion enough that impacts...
Read moreThe Ultimate Bowling Experience at Holiday Lanes - A Hidden Gem!
Holiday Lanes Bowling Alley is, without a doubt, the best bowling alley in the Tri-Cities area, and I can't say enough good things about it. From the top-notch lanes to the fantastic bar and surprisingly good food, it's a place that has it all.
When I first relocated from California to Tennessee three years ago and decided to join a bowling league at Holiday Lanes, I had no idea what to expect. But let me tell you, I was welcomed with open arms by the friendly regulars and staff. The sense of camaraderie here is something truly special. I've had the pleasure of making some of my best friends while playing in our weekly league.
And speaking of our league, Lisa Norton, the league secretary, deserves a standing ovation. She not only keeps everything running smoothly but also infuses the league with fun and energy. Her dedication to making our league a great experience is truly commendable.
Now, let's talk about the lanes themselves. Holiday Lanes takes lane maintenance seriously. The lanes are consistently in excellent condition, ensuring that every roll is as smooth as can be. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a casual bowler, you'll appreciate the high-quality equipment and well-maintained lanes.
As for the bar and food, I was pleasantly surprised. The food is much more than your typical bowling alley fare. They offer a menu with delicious options that cater to every taste, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal with friends or family. The bar selection is impressive, and the friendly staff will whip up your favorite drink with a smile.
In summary, Holiday Lanes Bowling Alley is a hidden gem that offers the ultimate bowling experience in the Tri-Cities area. It's not just a place to play; it's a place to connect, have fun, and create lasting friendships. If you're looking for a welcoming and enjoyable bowling experience, this is the place to be. Thank you, Holiday Lanes, for making my time in Tennessee...
Read moreI've loved this place since I was a little kid and have been regularly my entire life! I had planned to setup my youngest child's birthday party this week at the local skate rink, but they completely changed their hours without any notice Monday-closing all week long preventing any planning of a party there on a weekday afternoon. Luckily, I'd originally wanted to do bowling myself for him, so I decided to take a last minute chance the day before we'd planned to have the party to check and see if we were able to setup at the bowling alley. They only had one 2hr window from 3pm to 5pm, which was absolutely perfect 👌 and for the price of less than $100 we got a whole lane for 2hrs for 6 players, a pitcher of drinks, a large pizza, AND a REAL BOWLING PIN that said Happy Birthday on it for everyone who attended to be able to sign for his special day as a keepsake!!! We were also allowed to bring his own birthday cake in to enjoy after we all ate pizza! They happily provided all the plates, cups & utensils needed free of charge as well!!! We had such a blast and look forward to spending many many more of my boys future birthday parties there!!! Very Highly recommend! I must add, the pizza was absolutely delicious! We all loved it so much we ordered a 2nd, and even a 3rd to...
