We were trying to find a certain size sweater for a Christmas gift and asked an employee that was near the women's sweaters if they had any sweaters in kids sizes.
She just said "I don't know if we do or not."
All other employees who walked past us (probably at least 4-6 people) turned their heads away to prevent us from asking for help.
We ended up finding something that will work OK, but it took us much longer than it should have.
Other than the person at the register, only the lady who did not know if they had sweaters was actually working. All of the others were just walking around talking to each other on their headsets.
So the selection of kids sweaters was poor. The employees were terrible. And the sweater didn't ring up at the price that was marked on the table that they were piled randomly on. By that time, I just wanted to get the heck OUT of the store so I just paid for it and left.
Good luck if you go to JC Penney during the holidays. You are on your own and prices are random and incorrectly marked on...
Read moreOrdered a ring on Black Friday and was called by a store in another state saying it had came in for pickup. Already frustrated, I went to this location to have them get it sent so I could pick it up. It has been over a week and nearly Christmas and nothing has been settled. I have called the stores number multiple times and tried to be transferred to the jewelry department and they never pick up. Eventually after being transferred a couple more times I was on hold so long the line disconnected. The level of customer service is appalling and I can not believe the ring we ordered has had so much trouble in making it to the store. I have worked in upper retail management for 11 years and would like to only suggest that this problem gets fixed quickly before more and more people begin to complain about...
Read moreThe store seems disorganized and when there, after taking a while to find what I wanted, checking out was difficult. It’s hard for me to walk long distances and I was directed to the toward the back in cosmetics. At cosmetics, I was told to go to very back of the store. Got all the way to the back and 3 employees were hanging around registers but said they weren’t working but we could check out at jewelry. Went to jewelry and the two ladies there clearly didn’t want to check me out but finally did when I said it wash the third attempt, and my last, to check out. It’s been a while since I’ve been to JCPenney’s. It may be a while before I go back. It’s not the store it used to be and if I want to be treated to a long snake line or as if customers don’t matter, I can...
