Service is pretty good despite a noticeable lower amount of staff. Prices are good. My problem is get get sick an hour after eating there every time. Edit: September 9th 2024. Went there after a year of having not gone there. Joined my family who got there before 630 (apparently there was a price difference and my mother n law and her bf and sister wanted the discount so they sat down before the time) I get there about 640pm and ordered the harumaki, a chicken hibachi with soup and a salad and a sprite. My fiance orders the same thing but Dr pepper for the drink. I never got the harumaki. The lady barely refilled our drinks (towards when we were ready for our checks: 3 separate checks) got an attitude when she got called out for two of the checks not having the discount because two of the checks were supposed to be the deal before 630pm. And when she got called out on my harumaki she was like oh I am so sorry I just totally spaced it. Would you like it to go? Like no I don't. I wanted it as an appetizer. The chicken was rubbery and overcooked in everyone's meals and I immediately had to run to the bathroom after like 15 minutes into the meal. It made me horribly sick. Overall not worth it. One of my party members left a dollar tip (she didn't even deserve that) , she stuck her head out the door after we had exited the restaurant and basically gave a stink about only receiving a $1. Like you didn't even deserve that. Don't go to hiro. There are a few better places you you could go for better food and service. There is a reason they always have a help wanted sign...
Read moreWe are from out of town and love Japanese food so we decided to stop in for dinner, we have a favorite Japanese restaurant back home in Missouri and after all of our travels weve eaten at many places like this, and it is absolutely one of the best, if not the best Japanese restaurants weve ever eaten, the service was amazing, I'll omit the waiters name but he did a fantastic job making sure we had everything we needed, and his attitude made the mood of the evening relaxed and enjoyable. The spring rolls are out of this world, we sampled the salmon roll and the shrimp tempura rolls and were very well pleased with both of those. The chicken and shrimp hibachi was cooked perfectly, and the yum yum sauce that they have here is perfect in my opinion, it's not too garlicky like some places, just.... amazing at the quality of the food and service. The prices are on par with this quality of food, not overly expensive by any means, for 50 dollars it gets you a chicken hibachi plate, a chicken and shrimp hibachi plate, two rolls, drinks, two salads and soups, and two free spring rolls! So much food we had enough leftovers for both of us to eat again. Amazing place, would recommend to anyone who enjoys this type of food. This place has to be one of the best! We...
Read moreTo rate this, I would rate it a 4 out of 5, however on a 10 scale, I would rate it a 7 out of 10. When I first walked in it, the interior decor was modern and beautiful. Once I walked in, I told the waiter I was dinning in and gathered the menu. I did ask if I can sit by the window, however they told me that section is in available, which I understand. Before I sat down to look through the menu, I first went to the restroom. This is where I rate the restaurant a 7 out of 10. The mens restroom was disgusting. Trash is scattered all over the floor and the trash can is severely overflowing. It looked like a bomb went off and scattered paper towels everywhere and I almost forgot I was in a mid price restaurant. I walked back to my seat and asked the waitress what did she recommend for sushi, she offered, The Hiro Mini Roll, I took her offer and order a hibachi chicken and steak, with the steak medium rare. The food was delicious. The sushi was not spicy, unless you can not handle spicy Mayo, and the hibachi was amazing, one critique I will add is about the steak, I asked for mid-rare, however it was medium to medium well, however I do not mind that much. Overall, the food and customer service is golden, the bathrooms need work...
