Riding the Juneau Tram was one of the highlights of our trip! From the moment we boarded, the experience was smooth, scenic, and unforgettable. The tram ride itself is quick but packed with jaw-dropping views of the harbor, forested mountains, and the town of Juneau below.

Once at the top, we were greeted with even more stunning vistas — perfect for photos! There’s a great nature center, a gift shop with locally made items, and a short trail that leads to an incredible overlook. We even took time to watch a short documentary about the Tlingit, indigenous peoples of Alaska, which was a special treat.

The staff were friendly, informative, and made the whole experience enjoyable. Whether you’re into nature, photography, or just want a peaceful place to take it all in, the Juneau Tram is well worth the ride. Highly...

Breathing views - it’s a small tram this moves pretty quickly up and down the mountain side. It is filled very full. You will stand in Line for your turn to get on the tram. Try to stand by the windows for a good view but honestly the best view is at the top of the tram when you get out and walk around and just enjoy. You can stay as long as you want and wait for another tram to go back down. There is a gift shop, restaurant, small free theater, restrooms, and trails to walk. Even a small nature center the you can watch a local carving on a totem pole. It’s very relaxed causal...

Amazing, smooth and safe ride to the top - which is from sea level to 1800 feet almost straight up in just two or three minutes! You will never forget the great view from the house on the mountain! But my favorite view was from the balcony behind the restaurant looking out on Gold Creek and the unspoiled and natural view - I highly recommend this outing to...

$55 per adult to ride, with a one-hour wait on the day we entered with 4 ships in port. It was a great experience, and the staff at the top were super polite. In our early-May visit, two of the shops at the top were still closed. The trails at the top would have been a great hike later in the year, but mud and snow kept us close to the main building.

The view from the tram is inexistent on most days due to the weather; all we saw were the cruise ships which was perhaps the ugliest sight of our entire vacation. Additionally, there is a lofty $50 fee per person. Skip the tram, and if you really want to get to the top, take the hike- the views are much better outside the tram car.
