The Timberline Bar and Grill is located on Mount Roberts in Juneau. One rides the Goldbelt Tram up to the restaurant. They offer American food, and a full bar, as well as Seafood and are Vegetarian and kid-friendly. The views are of the Gastineau Channel in front and mountain waterfalls in back, from the outside patio. There is a lovely gift shop and clean restrooms. This is a seasonal restaurant, closing at the end of October and reopening in April. Hours are subject to change due to weather conditions, but in the summer, they are usually open from 8-9. During the season, the restaurant offers live music and is available for private events. One orders from the printed menu at the counter and pays before eating. Table service sets and condiments re self-serve. The food is then brought to your table. We enjoyed our chili bread bowls. Both the chili and the bread-bowl were tasty; the chili was hot but not too spicy, and the bread-bowl was fresh. We felt that the portion size was a bit small. I would recommend this place. The tram ride up was fun, and the restaurant was charming. It is accessible from the tram or one may hike up and ride down. Season Passes are available. The tram base location is at the main cruise dock on Franklin St., and tickets may be...

There's a restaurant called Timberline Bar & Grill on the top on monut. After looking the incredible view we were getting little bit hungry and the restaurant is just right there the restaurant looks very nice with Alaskan native art and totem including black bear and mountain goat hives on the wall very impressive. We were looking at the menu we were not that hungry we need a snack then we decided to get nachos Alaskan style.
We got the half of nachos they give us a number and waited we noticed there's a bar cool. Then they brought our nachos it was big we took a bite we notice a crunch in ever chip. The nachos have sour cream, black beans, guacamole and other items. They were so good so much flavors in the nachos we don't know what hell these Alaskan did to the nachos. The chips were crispy and crunch didn't fall apart...
Read moreWe had a great time hiking around Mt. Roberts and were starving and very thirsty by the time we sat down so we were really looking forward to a good meal. It was around 2:30 in the afternoon, so the place was pretty slow. The first thing I noticed was that my fork was dirty but I thought no big deal, I'll ask for a clean one....so we wait..and wait...nothing. After 10 minutes I asked a busser if our waiter was going to bring us some water. His response was "well who is your waiter?". I said "I don't know, haven't met him yet.". So we wait another 10 minutes, watch another table being sat and served water and cocktails, still nothing. The waitress that served the other table wouldn't even make eye contact with me when I tried to get her attention. We eventually gave up and left, two crying kids in tow. It was truly bizarre. I would say it was the worst service I've ever had, but there was literally no...
