Not gonna lie, we went into this store because we thought it was a different store the cruiseline sent us to for a free gift. But the moment we stepped in it was a whole different vibe. We asked for the charm and Victor kindly explained that they were not affiliated with the cruiselines. They are locally owned. He said however that if we would take a moment to look around (not buy specifically, but just look) he would see what he had for a free gift. We looked only for a moment before he came back with a little charm. He thanked us for coming in and we were free to go with no badgering. That had me wanting to look around more. I let him know that I didn't have a lot of money but I did want to find something small to go with a pendant I had. I explained that I don't wear earrings really since I haven't removed my small hoops in 7 years. But I was looking at the earrings and he said maybe a ring? Since I likely wouldn't wear the earrings. Every other shop I went into would have sold me earrings knowing I likely wouldn't wear them. Some other stores were pushy and wouldn't take no for an answer. Victor was just so wonderful. I ended up buying a ring from him. It wasn't a big sale but I just loved how he does business. I could have easily left without buying anything and he would have been happy just to have someone visit his store. I did notice that the amazing deal the cruise listed at another store in town, was actually cheaper in this shop. I'll shop here again since I'm sure this won't be my last time on a Alaskan cruise. My wife was searching for a reliable jeweler when we arrived in Juneau. Jewels by Kris popped up in her search. When we visited the store, we were greeted by Kai. He had a very calm disposition and was most attentive and patient as my wife wandered around the store looking at the very impressive pieces on display, and answering her many questions. He was also very knowledgeable in his craft.

We then met Kris, the owner of the store - an equally impressive gentleman. Both Kai & Kris did not at any time 'force' or pressurize us in any way to buy anything from them.

They were genuine and only interested in ensuring that we were well taken care of while we were in their store.

We did end up buying some beautiful pieces of jewelry and were extremely happy with the good deal offered us.
