Twisted Fish Company Alaskan Grill — Restaurant in Juneau

This place was amazing! My husband and I came through on our honeymoon Cruise, and got seated in Garth's section. Let me just rave about him for a moment. He was so kind, funny and helpful he also recommended a few places to look at while in town. He was knowledgeable in the food and offered his opinion on the food. He kept the drinks full, and he was always following up to make sure we didn't need anything, and to ask us how we where enjoying the food. If you can, ask to sit in his section! Awesome guy. Thanks for the phenomenal experience!

Now, for the food. We ordered a lot of food, and it was all AMAZING! For our starters we ordered the Coconut Salmon, and the lazy sushi. The Sushi was amazing, and I don't even like sushi. It was fresh and full of flavor. The Coconut Salmon was also very delicious. The outside was the perfect crisp and crunch, while the salmon inside was cooked perfectly. It was paired with a berry chutney, and I wish I could bring it home with me. We both ordered the crab, which is market price, so its price can change, one person got legs, and the other the pounder, which was the claws. The crab was cooked just right, not over cooked and had a nice not over barring salt flavor. The crab came with the choice of scalped potatoes or rice. I got the potatoes and loved every single bite. Absolutely divine. For desert we ordered the brownies and cream. The brownie was heavenly, it tasted like chocolatey goodness, the perfect ratio of brownie, ice cream and whipped cream. Overall the food and the experience is definitely worth the price. It has by far been my favorite place on the whole trip, and I can't wait for my next trip to Alaska for this...

The Twisted Fish Company is top notch in atmosphere, food quality, and service. My friend and I went out for lunch and our server was conscientious, but far from overbearing, as was the other staff too. Our waiter took our order, delivered our food, checked on us while we ate (offering refills on our drinks), and brought our check to the table when we were ready to bring our meal to a close; however, other staff members pitched in too! If a staff member happened to walk past, and notice an empty plate, it was cleared for us. This wasn't done in a way that was meant to make us feel rushed out the door but in a manner to make us feel more comfortable at our table and within our space. It was great! (For those who visit from the "Lower 48" this might be as you think it should be every where; but, for us, who call Alaska home... the type of service my friend and I experienced at The Twisted Fish was above par, excellent, and all things good in comparison to other eateries in Juneau.)

I ordered the halibut burger with twisted fries and a soda. (You haven't truly had halibut unless you've eaten it in Alaska😉 The best tasting fish on the planet!) The price point is on the expensive side; but, the portions are large and worth every penny.

My family came on a cruise ship and walked around town, we had a brig group as there was 11 of us. With a failed attempt at another restaurant I was able to find the Twisted Fish Company near the area where we had to catch our bus back to the cruise boat.

It was a rainy day so it was nice to see that the Twisted Fish had a place to hang our wet coats on while we went inside to eat.

The atmosphere there was great, not to loud, not crowded with people and evenly spaced out to get around in. The service was on point and the waitress that took our order was kind to ask if we had any questions about their menue. Since we had a big group she provided us with two pitchers of water from the get go.

We ordered 6lbs of King Crab and it was amazing. My son was able to experience having the crab in Alaska and not having some frozen pre packaged king crab that we would normally have in VA at our Costco. We also ordered the Clam chowder. That chowder was amazing. Never had a clam chowder like it and had dill in it that did not over power the flavor of the chowder. It's a definite try if you are into clam chowder.
