My goal was to sell some fine jewelry and brand new gold I have. I was surprised when the young man who was adding up the amount for the gold put it all under 10 kt gold, when I had one 14 kt chain, almost 2 grams, and several smaller chains that were NOT 10 kt. When I brought it to his attention, he weighed it again, but the price wasn't any better. I asked for $50 more to make myself feel whole, and this did not happen. I did not feel l received the full value for the quality items I brought in as they were brand new, still in the package. My mistake for selling $1500 set of 8-9 mm black natural tahitian pearl earring set encrusted in 14 kt white gold (pendant had diamond accents) for $30. I was first told $50, but when I checked out it was $330. It should have at least been $350. I had gemstones to sell but was told that is handled by the manager who is not there on a Saturday. The woman "gemologist" who made it a POINT to tell me that she was a gemologist, (when the young man was not within hearing range) stated the gemstones I had were probably from QVC, saying save yourself a trip, these look like they have inclusions. The gemstones I have were bought in Arizona and from dealers all around the world. I brought in one small tray. She didn't even look with a loupe and she had glasses on. Very disappointed in this whole trip, and will not be coming back any time soon with the other gemstones I have, gold and other jewelry I have saved that I don't wear. I brought in ERV $6,000 in brand new gold chains alone, and got $300 for the gold. In restrospect, I now realize I should have picked up my pieces and done comparison shopping. FYI, was told that pricing is done with the dwt system, which does not reflect the true value of gold, which on the day I visited, was $62.17 per gram, and with dwt system, 10kt is $18.60-$23.25 for 10 kt and $27.90-$32.55 for 14 kt gold. My problem this day was I did not sleep at all the night before due to a personal emergency. From here on out, I will contact other reputable dealers to take care of the rest of my business and do my due diligence...
Read moreIt is with the utmost sincerity that I share with you my wonderful experience with your Provident Jewelry Store located here in Jupiter on Indiantown Road. My mom had passed 4 days earlier and had left me a beautiful diamond ring, which I needed to have sized. We were met by a man who introduced himself as Matteo DeFalco. I told him of my loss and how much I wanted to wear my mother’s ring and hoped he could help me. He was extremely polite with a very gentle mannerism. We talked about getting it sized and then he mentioned another idea that we might like better, by matching the smaller diamonds on my mom’s ring with two small weddings bands, placed in front and behind the main diamond and all three soldered together. We looked at several bands and with his expertise, he found us the perfect match. We loved the idea! At no time, did we feel pressured from the moment we walked into your store. Matteo was so kind to us and he gave us all the time we needed while we were there. We cannot thank him enough! He promised the ring would be ready for my mom’s Memorial, but surprised us by having it ready in just a few days. We would also like to thank the jeweler who worked on making this ring one of the most beautiful rememberances to be treasured and now being worn with so much love. I highly recommend Provident Jewelry. I will definitely be using them again if needed. Thank you so much. Rose...
Read moreWalking into Provident, I was immediately impressed by the dazzling and vast selection of jewelry! I tried to look and sound confident when I said, "I am here to purchase an engagement ring." The receptionist said, "I have Janie for you; she is the BEST." I was hoping that was true! Within minutes, I knew I chose the right store and the Lord graciously allowed me to work with an expert in engagement rings.
I am over the moon with the results of my shopping trips. There was ease, professionalism, and expertise across the counter from the first time examining diamonds and settings all the way through the sizing before the proposal. Janie secured diamonds from other stores and she patiently helped me choose what dazzled my heart. It wasn't a ridiculously expensive piece. The price was reasonable thanks to everyone at Provident who made it affordable.
I know men shy away from the responsibility of choosing without their soon to be fiancé present, but if you get Janie at Provident, there is no doubt you fiancé will be stunned when you ask, "Will you marry me," and present the engagement ring. Lord willing, she will say yes because of you, but the engagement ring allows you to shower her with unspoken love, even when you are not holding her hand. My advice, choose Provident in Jupiter, FL and get Janie as your engagement...
