Five Below — Local services in Kansas City

Normally, I have been pleased with the fun variety and lower prices this store offers. I was not pleased this time, however, as it seemed there was just random miscellaneous last minute things to offer and not a very good selection. I had been to the store a couple of days prior and they had a couple of the items that I wanted but when I came back the next day it was like everything had been cleaned out rearranged and changed up. Not only that someone did a poor job of cleaning the ice off the sidewalk in front of their bins. As I was attempting to look through one of the bins the bins and slid and what appeared to being water due to all of the ice melts around it was actually a large section of ice upon which I slid and after efforts to regain my footing catch myself even with the help of a customer leaving the store I am verbally fell pretty hard on my left side. I had informed the cashier once I finally regain my composure and limped into the store who did not seem to have much understanding or compassion. Another employee walked by and asked if I needed help to which I greatly appreciated and I informed her of the circumstances and she said she would let her manage or know. I was in the store for 15 to 30 minutes looking for items and I was a little bit sad and that the manager did not make an appearance nor did anyone follow up to see how I was doing, and no one had gone out to clean up the ice from the sidewalk and the area...

The last two times we've been in the experience has been incredibly uncomfortable. The front has nothing but self check out registers - awesome! - except you aren't allowed to use them.

They open 1 register and act like you're a moron if you try to approach a register before you are called. They then force you to set down everything you want to buy so they can scan it for you, then they work the screen and only let you move in when it is time to pay.

And the entire time you're doing this bizarre dance with them, the manager (I think she's the manager) huffs and rolls her eyes at all the customers while the poor kids working with her are nothing but nice even if they're being forced to participate in the strange and uncomfortable check...

Was followed around the store IMMEDIATELY as soon as my husband and i entered. Too the point the poor girl that was sent to do the bidding of the Karen manager was running out of pointless conversation to bring up. Had every intention of buying several things but put everything back where i picked it up from and followed around to do that also!!! When we left the store rhe manager was standing at the doors craning her neck to verify what i had in my hands which was a jacket and soda i came in with.
