I bought a set of theater chairs (powered sofa and recliner chair) from Furniture Deals in the Northland KC for a theater room in my finished basement. I went there several times while also looking at other furniture stores around town. I found Furniture Deals selections to offer a wider range of options and cool features! They had the best selection of leather / fabric colors and power settings I could find: cup holders, powered seats, headrests and built in usb / phone chargers in the arms.
The sales people were always very attentive and non-pushy as we shopped and answered questions. Once I found the chairs I wanted the check out process was fast and easy!
They communicated well when it came to delivery taking about 2 weeks to get delivered - totally fine as I wasn’t in a hurry. When the day arrived they called the night before, texted the morning of, called again when they were 10 min away. The 2 furniture movers arrived and were very friendly and were laughing the whole time even though it was super hot outside. They unpacked the couch first and brought it in and it was too big to easily fit down the basement stairs, so with some creative planning and using one of our white sheets (to protect our painted walls from scratches) were able to angle it slightly against the hallway wall and got it through the door opening. No damage to the wall or paint. They then brought the recliner down to the finished basement theater room. From there they unpacked and put the furniture seatbacks on and hooked up the power cords and tested them out. I’d have to say those 2 mover guys might have been the best part of the entire experience. Fun, easy going and detail oriented - just what you want when moving heavy pieces of furniture into your home.
We were so excited about the theater chairs going in we forgot we also ordered a small side table. About 5 min later there was a knock at the door and it was the movers with our table! They came back after checking their packing list. I told them thanks and they were back on the road! Those guys deserve a raise - Amazing!!
Approx 30 min after delivery a customer service rep called me to get feedback on how the delivery went. I told them positive and we were happy with our furniture purchase.

My husband and I invested a significant amount of money for the delivery of our new furniture. On the initial delivery day, our furniture was brought in the rain. I would have expected them to either wait for the rain to cease or at least cover the items with a tarp to keep them dry, but that did not happen. Consequently, our couch and other pieces arrived at our apartment completely soaked. The table and all other items were also wet. While I understand that weather conditions are beyond anyone's control, basic courtesy and common sense should prevail. I promptly contacted the store to request a replacement for the water-damaged furniture and expressed my concerns regarding the unprofessional delivery team. One individual nearly dropped our couch, while another used inappropriate language in front of our children, which I found unacceptable and disrespectful! The subsequent delivery was a different experience, seemingly improved until I noticed that the delivery crew had scuffed the walls in the building leading to our apartment. To make matters worse, we are renting from a private landlord, and the crew did not acknowledge the damage at all. When my husband and I reached out to the store, Jesse attempted to justify the actions of the delivery team by claiming the corner was tight. He even had the audacity to suggest that he was doing us a favor by waiving the re-delivery fee. It is unreasonable to charge a customer for another delivery when the fault lies with the company and they should be rectifying the situation. I requested a full refund of the delivery fee, and Jesse initially agreed to this and promised to cover the wall repairs. However, shortly after our conversation ended, he called back to retract his offer, stating he could not provide both the repair and the refund. Read moreThey have permanently lost my business, and I cannot stress how much one should avoid shopping here. Had to fight tooth and nail to avoid a pushy sales experience. Once we found what we were looking for, we were told that the delivery timeframe was no longer than 8 weeks, but lost folks were seeing their purchases in 4-6 weeks. This sounded good to us, as we are understanding, and know the pandemic is wreaking havoc on these things. So we fully expected the 8 week delivery window. At 8 weeks, when we went to check in on our order, we were told that our sales associate had lied to us, and the actual timeframe was 12 weeks. We were pretty upset about this, and voiced that, but decided to wait it out. Lo and behold, 12 weeks comes and goes, with still no update on when we would be receiving our furniture. So we call again, where we were told that as of a month ago, we were fourth in line, and that the representative on the phone was going to have to send an email to even narrow down if there has been any progress, or to give us a timeframe.
