*Update - Regrettably, I need to update this review. I had my tape-in extensions for almost 6 weeks and I noticed that for some time they had felt incredibly painful and was matting. It was due time to move them up but when I reached out to Samy and sent several texts and calls to try to schedule an appointment, she didn't reach back out to me.

I went elsewhere to get them removed and I was informed that my extensions were incorrectly placed and were too close to my actual scalp and roots which was causing a lot of friction and pain (and some hair loss).

The removal process for the extensions I got at Samy's were bottom line excruciating. I am unsure what tape and adhesive was used but the salon I went to fix this was horrified at how strong the adhesive was and said normally it should slide right out with the application of a remover. Mine did not. Mine literally had to be pulled out and apart akin to the feeling of having my hair from my scalp ripped out. I still have residue from the glue in my hair. I cannot in good faith recommend this place to anyone looking for extensions (especially if you were new to the process like me).

Also, I found out what happened to my tape-in extensions. Despite saying that it is a NO heat process, Samy applied a straightener and quite literally heat bonded the adhesives... to my hair that was already incredibly close to my scalp. I got my hair extensions done here and I love them! I've never had them before but the consultation was really reassuring about the process and upfront without feeling like I was getting pressured. I rarely write reviews however I’ll do an exceptions in this case. I’ve been in Houston for 12 years and one of the most difficult things for many years was finding a good barber. I jumped from barbershop to barbershop for years until i got to Juliano’s barbershop. This place is hands down the best barbershop i’ve been in all my years here in TX. Extremely hate my hair. Not $170 worth. Abraham was very nice but Mireya was always distracted and on the phone and did not know where things were.
