We stopped in for dinner tonight hoping that it would be a nice end to our Sunday after seeing all of the stellar brunch reviews. Well, either we ordered the only 2 dinner items that weren’t worth ordering, they had an off night, or the hype just isn’t real. We had a very simple order - spinach artichoke dip, filet medallions for my wife and I to split, and a side of French fries for my son. The spinach artichoke dip came out in a literal cup which surprised me for $12, but we were hopeful. Nope, absolutely bland and barely had any cheese at all. More of a cup of spinach with a few tortilla chips for dipping. Okay... maybe this isn’t the thing to order? We ask our server if we can exchange this for the crab tower since we tried one bite each and didn’t care for it. He apologized and took it back, no problem. Luckily my son’s fries came out at this time and they were actually delicious. No complaints from the kids table. Next thing to come out was the ā€œfilet medallions with wild mushroom risotto and blackberry port reductionā€. Let me assure you this dish looked nowhere near as appetizing as we thought it sounded too. 4 gray lumps of meat with a dollop of wine sauce each sat atop some dry rice. At this point we’re hungry and don’t want to seem like the trouble table, so we divide it and dive in. Ordered medium rare, was medium, but that wouldn’t have mattered. They literally did not season the steak at all. Not even salt and pepper. The taste, texture, and smell of this dish was abhorrent. Tough, chewy, and dry. How a creamy risotto dish with sauce can accomplish that is actually a little impressive. I couldn’t pull that off unless I was intentionally trying to sabotage the meal. $25 is what they are charging for this abomination. The crab tower comes out now. It looked very good, and actually didn’t taste bad. It was bland overall as well, but was an improvement over the first two. Overall my son had a great time eating his fries, and thankfully he was willing to share because that was the only thing worth even eating outside of the crab tower. The manager seemed nice enough, and the server took good care of us. However, none of that can make up for the food. $55 down the drain and lesson learned. I would not even return to try the much renowned brunch. My only guess is that these other 5 star reviews were intended for the other location. Do...

Think this is the first time I'm reviewing a place within mins of going there. It was that good. We generally go to JAX grill next to this place. We knew that Union kitchen was an upscale restaurant. Had ordered the border fried chicken, chocolate mousse cake and the carnitas rolls. To go. The bartender was very pleasant to deal with and quick with service. A border chicken from the healthy menu ended up in the bag (instead of the fried version). Only found out when we got home. On calling back, the manager (Kevin) explained that the one we were looking for was the fried chicken version, apologized and offered to make the same for me to pick up. I did. He went over and above by giving a voucher too. That was very unexpected for what was an honest mistake. Totally exceeded my expectations. Onto the food, the carnitas was so juicy and flavorful that we gobbled it all up in mins. On the first bite, i actually swore in suprise :-) The sauces were something else. So packed with flavor. The chopped cabbage that came with it was so fresh! I've smoked pork butt myself and this tasted so much better! The fried chicken was so good, with bacon bits that were so flavor packed. The cheese sauce went well along with the mashed potatoes and the green beans were of the quality that one would get at a top steakhouse. And lastly the chocolate mousse cake was like something that came from heaven! Every single layer (white, dark, chocolate) was distinctive but eaten together was so decadent! Have not tasted the other border chicken yet, but it looks good. Rarely do we see places that have top notch service and top notch food , that too each item ordered being excellent. Goes without saying that we will be back. So lucky to be staying close to this mind...

A Community Gem with Flavor, Heart, and Consistency āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø (5 out of 5)

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for many years, and it’s consistently one of my favorites. Whether I’m ordering one of my go-to dishes or trying something new, the food is always delicious and beautifully presented. The attention to detail in both flavor and plating is consistently impressive.

What really sets this place apart is the combination of excellent customer service and strong community involvement. They regularly give back through charitable efforts and host fun, themed events each month. We’ve attended a few, and Doris always does a phenomenal job with the decor and atmosphere—each event feels unique and welcoming.

This is a fantastic spot for a casual dinner with friends or family, especially with the green space nearby where kids can safely run around. On some nights, they also have live music, which adds to the already lively and enjoyable environment.

Food highlights: – The tuna tower is a must—I’ve had it several times and it never disappoints. – The chicken soup tastes like a comforting pot pie in a bowl—rich, hearty, and full of perfectly cooked vegetables and moist chicken. – The bang bang shrimp is another favorite—crispy on the outside with a flavorful, well-balanced sauce.

This is more than just a restaurant—it’s a place that makes you feel at home, while still offering the kind of quality and experience that keeps you coming back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food in a warm,...

Came here for lunch on a Friday. To our surprise, they had happy hour going on all day until 6pm. There are also lunch specials on weekdays till 3pm. The inside was spacious and nice and the staff was VERY friendly. I was hoping for more out of the food though. *Caprese chicken sandwich - I was told its very popular but it had very little flavor - couldn't taste the pesto and didn't have enough salt. The chicken was also kind of burnt. The bottom bun was so soggy from balsamic and chicken juices flowing out. *The boost bowl - this dish was good and had good flavor. Would order this again. *Crispy brussel sprouts - this was good and crispy. Tastes as you would expect. It was a little odd that they give you a mayo based dipping sauce for this. We skipped the sauce as it didn't add anything. *Crab and tuna tower - we were very disappointed in this one. There was barely any crab or tuna and the whole thing was soo sweet. We should have noticed that the menu said it has a sweet sauce poured on it. That plus the sweet papaya. Not our cup of tea. Wish it was limey. *Cold brew white russian- unique and tasty! They have an assortment of yummy sounding cocktails. Many salad options. Would be interested in coming back to try their brunch. I was told they got rid of their mimosa special that they used to have- buy one mimosa get penny refills. Boo

Today was the first time for the four of us ā€œplus the kidsā€ at this restaurant. We were thrilled after reading positive reviews. Unfortunately we were very disappointed! Mother's Day 5:00 pm the pasta had no flavor at all, the photo is exactly what was left on the plate, it couldn't be eaten, we both barely ate much of the plate. Drinks took a while, we had to ask a different waitress to check why ,as there was no one at the bar and our waitress was nowhere to be found. Our waitress only came to the table to take the order and bring the food, we had to keeping ask another waitress to call her when we needed something (very annoying). And to make matters worse, when she brought the bill she informed us that due to her error we would have to swipe the card three times for each bill?(crazy ) The manager didn't come to the table even once to check what was going on. Maybe it was already late & everyone was already tired and putting zero effort into impressing. The kids at least enjoy they pizza 🫤
