Wow! I visited Good Fortune to explore the value of some items that I was pondering in âdecluttering-modeâto potentially sell outrightâŚ. (Taking an online course on Decluttering offered by St. Lawrence University) I met an older fellow (think it was Ben) and he knew nothing about a brand-new Bose 700 Soundbar (sells new@ $700) So Ben deferred to an associate who proceeded to rude advice to a fellow upfront who looked pretty âslickâ..pawn star style. I then revealed a 1943 Omega Military watch that had recently been cleaned and fit with an expensive strap that paired well. Ben viewed the piece and said he knew little about antique watches. Ben â pawedâ the piece and knew zero about the hacking feature. Dah! Showed them a pretty cool well worn but classic Swiss ladies Gubelin automatic from the fifties. They said they didnât know the high end brand. Really? Then they proceeded to offer $60 for the Bose Soundbar which was mint and boxedâŚ(won it in a golf tournament)and it got worse: Showed a Seiko reference SKX009K Divers watch which is iconic to anyone who is mildly horological. Known as the Pepsi Seiko for itâs signature blue and red bezel combo and discontinued a few years ago, it is now and offered on ebay @ $510 as I write this. This watch had never been worn, was accompanied by the original box, outer sleeve, warranty and booklet and blue sticker on the reverse of the caseâŚmint. The woman associate, accompanied by constant noises of her barking dog in the back room, (leave the pup at home or at a doggy play facility) offered me $35. Shysters! Steer clear of these guys! They low ball gold and silver by serious percentages and prey on the unknowing seller. I had experienced past offers on Krugerrands that were bid by them at 20% below market!âŚ. Sold gold in June in Boston ultimately at 8% below daily spot prices. Crazy. Gave them a second chance on products this go aroundâŚAnd what amazes me is that they stay in business? Their site declares that that are the âWorldsâ largestâŚ.â. I will leave you to decide what they are the largest at! A miserable experience and a total waste of my time. Unknowledgeable employees who know little more than weighing metals and lowballing the ignorance of the...
Read moreThis was a last 2nd decision. Open parking, I'm in. July 26th I started w/diamond on. Post tablesaw accident, nope! I explained situation. She immediately said what about a forever necklace. I obviously had to go thru w/this. I'd spent hrs looking @those in am. I purchased a white gold wedding band. Handed over my mangled ring. Photos say it all. If it's been awhile stop by her talents are endless. The displays of jewelry she's designed are beautiful & unique. Then she explains where she "scavenged" each part of any piece! It's mind blowing. You will purchase a piece that can't be replicated. The prices are very reasonable. If you think Walmart is your price range, you can afford Good Fortune. I'm so excited to increase my collection. I've many pieces in need of her magic! Plus I'm going in & they are purchasing left over gold from ring. I chose the forever piece for my daughter Paightlin. Diamond is her birthstone. UPDATE SEPT 26,24 I'm in the store monthly & no matter what stress your carrying every employee is so personable that you'll leave carrying a rainbow. There's never pressure to buy a higher priced item. No matter your budget Deborah(all staff) will treat you as if your a millionaire. They listen & they deliver everytime. The atmosphere is so friendly even when your not purchasing that day. I can't say enough. Deborah is extremely talented & she has some very unique pieces that...

I thought I had lost 2 beautiful rings in the snow that I had purchased from Good Fortune. Roger sent Eric and Bruce over to my house with metal detectors and the guys searched around for almost an hour. No other jeweler in the area would ever do that for a customer.
I have purchased a variety of jewelry over the years inc bracelets and rings. Always at a Fair Price! The appraisals are consistently higher in value bc You got a heck of a deal there!
I am a bit hard on my jewelery and Debbie always takes care of me with a SMILE đ. Never a harse word about it and most of the time the repair is Free.
