This used to be my favorite shop to go in Keene. They used to have the best prices, and would even do competitor price matching. Iām not sure what happened, but I used to go there every week to grab a carton of Montego Menthol hundreds. They started at $4.00 a pack (unbelievable!), though I knew eventually they would increase. No big deal! They increased to $4.50 a pack. Still fantastic! Then went to $5.00, again, still fair. (Although, keep in mind that these are an off brand, cheap cigarette.) I went in about 6 months at the beginning of the week and they were $5.00 per pack. So, Iām sure you could imagine how shocked I was 3 days later to buy a carton and was rang up for $80.00!!! I understand increases. But, how does a product price double in a span of only 3 days!? And how do they justify selling off brand, cheap cigarettes for the same price as I can get Marlboros up the street? I prefer Marlboros and only smoke Mentego because they are significantly cheaper and inflation is killing all of us! Obviously. I asked if they rang in the right cigarettes. They said yes. I asked do you still at least price match with competitors? The guy shrugged his shoulders and said, āUmmm?? I donāt know? Not sure, I have no idea.ā What!? How does an employee not know your store policies? Not to mention how rude he was. Everyone there used to be so nice! Obviously, I told him no thank you. Iām not paying $8/pack for Montegos. Can someone explain what happened!? How do you double a products price in only a few days!? And charge so much for those? Everywhere else they are between $4.75-$6.00. And what happened to your super nice, helpful staff? This was super disappointing. Not only are you now price gouging, but your amazing staff is gone too!? And were replaced by a rude guy who acted like I was an annoyance for shopping there. I guess I interrupted his show he was watching. And he doesnāt know store policies, canāt answer any questions, and made zero effort to even try. Yikes! Granted, this was one guy. That Iād never seen before. But, I know you keep a super small staff, so I hope he didnāt replace your awesome employees you have. My friend with me was really shocked at the price too. And at his Rudd the guy was. He actually suggested that itās impossible for a product to double in price in a couple of days. Plus the fact the guy clearly hates working in general and canāt be bothered. Putting all this together, my friend suggested that price was most likely a lie. And the guy was trying to make some money off me on the side. I really hope thatās not the case. But, then again, on the flip side, the only other alternative is just as bad. Possibly even worse. Anyways, I hope this was a fluke. And the pricing was an honest mistake. Otherwise I canāt see many people continuing to support a local shop that gouges us for our hard earned money more than the corporations already do. Best of luck. Hope things turn...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePricing here is very fair for what you get, and the staff is friendly and personable. Unfortunately, I have had multiple rough experiences.
About a year back I purchased a SMOK mod and sub ohm tank. I went back two weeks later to buy new coils for the tank, to which they informed me they don't carry. The rep at the desk took my information and advised they would speak to the manager and order it, which they never did.
After weeks of waiting, I simply purchased my coils online and went in store to purchase eJuice. The eJuice I received was sharp, and unpleasant to smoke - only to find out that the juice was manufactured in 2022 (And purchased in 2025). eJuice begins to go bad 12-18 months after manufacturing.
This result of purchasing old eJuice has happened twice to me and its not worth asking for a refund as I am certain they wouldn't do so, and I rather not take money away from a small business.
Additionally, I purchased a second vape pen for my partner, and they no longer carry the replacement tanks despite stating they "Always do" when I bought it.
I have decided that this shop has a great selection and great employees, but poor management practices and poor rotation of their products to check for sell by dates. Much as I hate to say it, I can't recommend...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had no idea that an untrained dog was in the store until the entrance door closed and the dog was attacking me. Luckily I was wearing long sleeves, so the damage to my hand was minimized and didn't require immediate medical attention.
Once the dog was finally restrained I figured I would at least get what I came in for, only to be charged 28 dollars for 2 packs of cigarettes. I cannot blame the fellow at the counter for this because he was in just as much shock and seemed to be the only one in the store concerned for me. I could tell it was an honest mistake, and honestly he could've charged 80 dollars a pack and I would've paid it just to be one step closer to getting the hell out of that place so I could properly address the bacteria-coated holes that were now in my hand.
Used to come into the store regularly and I've probably spent thousands of dollars at the business, but now the only reason I'll ever return is to drop off the bill for the urgent care visit and antibiotics if the wounds...
