Whether you are looking to get married and planning your first dance or just looking to reconnect, I highly suggest this dance studio. My fiance and I had gone through four different dance studios before finding this one and unfortunately, the others were just not worth it. Many applauded us for doing nothing or learning nothing and it felt like a waste of time. From the moment we started interacting with Felicia, you can tell that she is truly invested in each one of her couples. Before we even met her it felt like talking to an aunt who wanted photos and wanted to know our hopes and dreams. She takes great pride in every dance move she shows you and she will tell you the honest truth if you are not doing it well and how to go about doing so. We do better with honest feedback. Without that pride and care in her work, we highly doubt that we would have gotten as many compliments as we did on our wedding day and well since. Our dance was beautiful, and throughout the very stressful process of planning a wedding it was the one time a week that we were able to recenter and reconnect with each other. My Experience: I had always wanted to learn how to dance my entire life. At the time I found Continental, I wanted to learn how to dance Latin dances so that I could surprise my boyfriend when we visited his family in Colombia. Let me tell you, the amount of love the staff has for dancing and teaching showed from the moment I walked in. I was welcomed in by Felicia who made my dream begin. Her excitement and dedication is a rarity. She and Fernando spent countless hours teaching me how to look, feel, and be the music. I learned Salsa, Bachata, and Merengue. My biggest dream was to develop those "latina hips," and I did! When I arrived in Colombia and danced, EVERYONE was impressed! Everyone wanted to know how I learned to dance. I would not have been able to do it without them. It took about 4 months of lessons to learn this

Where do I even start? Well, I'll start off by saying this place and the teachers who work here and incredible! My new husband and I loved coming to private lessons twice a week to learn a routine for our first dance. We learned American Rumba to Michael Buble's song called Everything. We started lessons in October and our wedding was on the 13th of July. Learning to dance with Francine was so much fun and we learned other dances including American Rumba. We love, love, LOVE Francine. My husband and I now know basic Salsa, Bachata, Foxtrot Merengue, Jitterbug and Cha Cha. At our wedding we got so many compliments on our routine. I highly recommend Continental Dance to anyone who wants to learn for enjoyment or a couple who is getting married and wants to dazzle their guests. But if you do want a wedding dance, go MONTHS in advance! A week or two before your wedding isn't enough to learn how to do a Waltz or a foxtrot. Give yourself time and enjoy the process!
