Ollie's Bargain Outlet — Local services in Kenner

Decided to try out this Ollie's since I frequent the Harvey location. This location was not the same as the other location. The selection is very different. Smaller book section and larger food section. Their selection isn't as big as the Harvey location. I only bought a few fishing supplies and the worst part of the store was the check out. There was 2 ladies in the front at 1st. So I stood in line behind 3 ladies being checked out together. There was another worker standing near a register dancing as if she was listening to music. The later walked around to the register and stood there. So I called out "Ma'am, ma'am, ma'am" and she never looked up. Every woman standing around the checkout turned to look at me but she completely ignored me. There was another cashier walking up and she even heard me so I walked towards the lady who originally ignored me and I said "ma'am are you open?" She looked up and said, sarcastically, "my light is on, soooo"! I then said, "that could be a mistake so I am asking. If you see people standing in line, why not just call the next person." As I checked out, she was so busy talking to the other employee that I really didn't matter. She never asked if I was an Ollie's member, which I am or if I wanted my items in a bag since they were very little in size. She just handed me the receipt and kept talking. Ms. LINDA IS AWEOME !!!!! She helped me get an Ollie card to get rewards and coupons !!!! Super friendly . Great person to have checking you out ! She was so kind♡ I am ONLY leaving a 3 star because after about 10 minutes of being in the store, we started sweating buckshots!!!!! As we were checking out, we gave the manager a business card ( We Are TNT A.C. & Heating) and she told us that the AC has been out since SEPTEMBER OF 2022 !!!!!! HOW IN THE WORLS COORPORATE LETS THAT GO ON IS BEYOND ME...... THE WORKERS LITERALLY HAVE BEEN WORKING IN THIS CONDITION SINCE 2022. THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES :( Other than that, the store is awesome. Got great things. We have to return some curtains as they are too opaque. the older lady at the front is so rude every time. i walked in at 6:55 , okay i get it you have 5 minute before closing, went to grab one thing. first has an attitude as soon as we walked in and claimed we only had 3 minutes. me and my partner said okay, i was going to be quick anyways, she throws her hands up and rolls her eyes and again says “we close in 3 min”. that’s when i state it’s 655 and she has an attitude saying that her clock says 3 min. this isn’t the first time with this lady either, i was checking out one day & this older gentleman was checking in front, he obviously didn’t know how to work the card machine and she was being very impatient towards him instead of showing him. i'm not sure how this women is employed still, she obviously hates her job and definitely needs to work on her...
