Not Very Customer Oriented During the 2018 Christmas Holidays I didn’t have lots of time to shop and I decided to get a large bit of shopping completed at Amy’s Hallmark in Marietta. The shop is out of the way for me since I live in Douglasville, GA. Unfortunately the Douglasville Hallmark store shut down some time last year. I have a Hallmark Crown Rewards card and have been a member for quite a while since I collect their Christmas ornaments each year. On this particular day I purchased about $130 of products at this store location including cards, gifts, bags & wraps. When I got home I realized that I didn’t use my Hallmark coupons that I had received from previous purchases. I thought that I could find some time over the next few days to make the 45 minute trek back to the store to have the coupons applied to my receipt. I went back to the store with the receipt and the items I purchased in case they needed to scan the bar codes of the items. Unfortunately the sales lady told me that the store’s policy is that they don’t allow coupons to be applied to previous purchases (apparently even with the receipt). This seems a silly policy since I could have simply returned the items for a refund then turned around and purchased them again with the coupons since the coupons were valid till the end of December. Another option would have been to just return the items for a refund and taken my business elsewhere. In hindsight I should have done the later. Unfortunately I didn’t have lots of time to waste making a case to the young lady for the discount and I didn’t want to hold up other customers waiting to make purchases. My guess is that a manager probably would have applied the discount since this young lady didn’t seem to have the authority or she may have not had enough training to know how to do that. In either case I don’t plan to shop at Amy’s...
Read moreOh my goodness I can not say enough good things about this store! But honestly it was the employee who stole my heart. I believe her name was Nancie (I think it was with an "ie" but apologies if I am completely wrong! I try to look at people's name tags when I really am enjoying them so they can get the recognition they deserve.) I've never been a Hallmark gal but I think I have been converted!
I walked into the store and was greeted by everyone working there which was just so nice and welcoming and pleasant and I was asked what I was looking for and it was some stuffed animals which I always feel kind of embarrassed asking for but the environment of the store and the energy of the employees were so extremely calming and I had no trouble asking and one employee knew exactly what I was talking about and so I had miss Nancie walk me over to the display.
Oh my goodness when I say I was beyond joyful I mean it!!! I couldn't contain myself I was so excited!! I thought I would never find these!! Then to my absolute delight Nancie shared the excitement with me!! So it was Nancie, myself, and my daughter all laughing about the cute plush animals and it was just so nice. To not feel judged for being an adult who finds joy in things like a stuffed animal. It brings me even more joy that I am able to share these moments and the cute stuffed animals with my daughter who is my entire world.
I will definitely be returning to purchase from your store, thank you for being a wonderful light in our week Miss Nancie. My little girl...
Read morewhen i walked into this store with my friend, i had planned to buy a piece of kendra scott jewelry. as we walked over to the jewelry and started looking through them, immediately the employees started eyeing us. they started talking loudly about how they count the items we were looking at, stopping what they were doing to come near us, and i felt degraded and uncomfortable. we had no intentions of stealing nor doing anything disrespectful. we felt so uneasy that we looked at the jewelry for under a minute and had to step away. as we walked to another part of the store, an employee followed us and, again stared staring. we left and will not be coming back. as a teenage girl, im sick of being treated as a burden and a criminal for just minding my business. get new employees with...
