I’ve been to Shawarma House four times now and it has been a great experience every time. Although it’s a “fast food” style service, the employee at the front counter makes a habit of going to each table to ask if they are enjoying their meal. He is great at answering questions about the menu and always seems so grateful for his customers. The shawarma dishes, as well as the other beef and chicken plates are served with rice and salad and are so flavorful. They also come with wonderfully soft pita bread and either hummus or baba ghannouj - both are so creamy and delicious. The portion sizes are quite large as well. The gyros sandwich has a generous amount of meat and the tzatziki sauce is amazing. I absolutely love the spicy chicken wrap with tomatoes, pickles and garlic sauce. The kefta kebab wrap is equally as good. The wrap is similar to a tortilla but a bit thinner and so tasty. The sandwich combos are served with either fries or falafel, both are fantastic! I am so thrilled to have a Mediterranean restaurant in town that serves great fresh food at a good price in a clean atmosphere and with a very friendly staff. It’s become a favorite of mine and I highly recommend it. I would love to see this place be successful and flourish for a long...
Read moreWe recently had Shawarma House cater for a large event for 75 people, and I have to say, they absolutely crushed it. From start to finish, everything was smooth, professional, and most importantly... delicious.
The food was a massive hit. Everyone loved the meat. It was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The rice was fluffy and cooked to perfection. It tasted like a home cooked meal, so if you are catering for a large group of people, their food will surely satisfy!
Beyond the rice and meat, all the sides were just as impressive, soft bread, fresh salads, and hummus. Not a single tray went untouched. Multiple guests asked for the name of the place so they could order again themselves.
The team at Shawarma House was incredibly easy to work with, delivered everything right on time, and made sure we had more than enough to go around (with some leftovers, which we were very happy about).
If you’re looking for catering that will leave your guests full, happy, and asking for seconds, I can’t recommend Shawarma House enough. Easily one of the best catering experiences we’ve had.
Thank you again to the team—you made our...

I was looking to support a local-ish restaurant (there are multiple locations including Houston). Cashier realized I was new and picked a spicy chicken entree. While I was ordering a carryout order came by to pick up order. Another person gave him his food as well as handing him a little bag. I finished ordering and saw the baklava and asked if it was made in house. I ordered one ($3) with my dinner and sat down with my baklava in a little baggie...very similar to the carryout order.
The order was ready super quickly! I went up to counter and as another employee slid my dinner tray to me, the employee reached down and grabbed a little baggie which had a piece of baklava to hand me for free. The original cashier laid his hand on the baggie while in the other employee's hand and pushed it back under the counter.
So I was going to get a free piece of baklava and thr cashier didn't tell me nor did he allow me the option to take an additional free piece.
Food was fine but ethics and principles matter. Absolutely dumb to lose business over something that probably cost less than $1 to make....
