Fresco Mexican Grill & Salsa Bar — Restaurant in Kent

I went here with my family for a nice night out. While there was a nice atmosphere, the food, was not in particularly the best. I ordered 2 tacos. the barbacoa taco, and a classic chicken taco, with a side of queso. The meat on the barbacoa itself was good, but the pico de gallo was on it, and it covered the taco. And to make it worse, it wasn’t that flavorful, and was mostly tomatoes. Next, the chicken. The chicken was a mixture of light and dark meat. This was a surprise to me, but it wasn’t In any way bad, but not good either. Again, it was as you might say “drenched” in pico de gallo. Now to the worst part. You’d expect queso to be a nice fluffy cheese dip, but this queso was no ordinary queso. Instead of tasting like cheese when I scooped a chip-full into my mouth, and I almost spit it out. This is just my preference, but I do not like coffee, and this tasted exactly like coffee with a hint of cheese. For the last thing I got a bottled Coca Cola and it was good. I also tried the piccante salsa which was also quite good and had flavor unlike most of the stuff. The only other nice thing was that the people who worked they were very pleasant to be around, and were very nice Overall I would only come back here for drinks, or the salsa. But otherwise I would not...

Great place !! Let me tell you about the salsas ! Hot sauces !! Yum yum hight quality and all fresh and unique !! We have srirachas ! Cholulas ! Tabascos and a huge variety,, home made Salsa asada too good to be true !! Awesome taste !! Green tomatillo salsa verde OMG to die for !! The habanero no kidding this salsas are made fresh !!!! Only for the hard souls !! Very spicy habanero! Careful ! The burrito bowls !! Fantastically Delic !! Great staff ! This place is in the middle of Kent Ohio !! Very clean ! Super friendly ! If you are kayaking in the area or want to stop to get quick bite to eat !!this place is the way to go !! Kudos for the girls at the cashiers and cooks !! Great job amigos !!! For sure we will come back !!!!to get more of the fresh pico :) let’s go !!!! Vamonos a la Victoria!!!!! And they have jarritos beverages!! And cool stuff 2!! Bon appetite hungry beasts !!! I didn't want to leave a negative review. My hope in doing so is that there will be some positive changes that come from this post. My husband and I tried this for the first time today. Honestly, the food was pretty good and the people were super friendly. Problem is... the tables look and feel gross. Sticky to the touch. Worker just walked around with a wet cloth wiping food particles off. No disinfectant or cleaner whatsoever. Then I noticed that with the same, unclean cloth... the same worker wiped used food baskets out and then neatly stacked them to be used again. I'm pretty sure this is a health code violation and should be unheard of in this time of Covid-19 & variants. I would love to come back and see these issues remedied. It is a cool place but if they are not clean, it's a huge problem. Also, if this is happening in the dining area, it makes me wonder what is going on in...
