Erie Street Kitchen has been my go-to dining spot for years, and every visit has been consistently delightful. While I haven't explored the entire menu extensively, I stumbled upon an item that's so incredible it has become my perennial favorite.
The gluten-free Nashville Hot Chicken is an absolute masterpiece. I can't resist ordering it at least 2-3 times a month. The chicken is perfectly cooked, tender, and succulent, and the gluten-free breading provides a delightful crunch. The heat from the Nashville seasoning is just right, adding a spicy kick that leaves my taste buds dancing with delight. Depending on who's manning the kitchen, I've learned to request some extra Nashville seasoning on the side to take the flavor to the next level.
In addition to the heavenly Nashville Hot Chicken, Erie Street Kitchen offers another dish that never fails to impress: the goat cheese balls. These little spheres of joy are a divine combination of creamy goat cheese and delectable jam. The contrast between the smooth, tangy cheese and the sweet, fruity jam is simply heavenly. Each bite is a burst of flavors that blend harmoniously, creating a unique and memorable dining experience.
While the rotating menu at Erie Street Kitchen entices me to venture into new culinary territories, I often find myself irresistibly drawn back to my beloved Nashville Hot Chicken and the goat cheese balls. They have become my trusted and cherished choices, ensuring a consistently satisfying meal.
Whether you're a fan of gluten-free indulgence or intrigued by innovative flavor pairings, Erie Street Kitchen is a culinary gem that delivers mouthwatering dishes. Don't hesitate to try their gluten-free Nashville Hot Chicken and goat cheese balls for a truly remarkable dining experience that will keep you coming...
Read moreGirlfriend is Celiac, and supposedly Erie street is supposed to be great about gluten/wheat allergens, however, we have had genuinely many poor experiences with irritated employees with insistence of the allergen. Poor labeling, half the time the food isn’t labeled gf. And today marks the second time that she has been glutened. First from the waffles, and insistence multiple times they need to be prepared gluten free. As well as today with the pimento mac and cheese. Everything else was labeled gf so lack of care and training has led them to not even assume that maybe the pimento mac needs to be gf. Even though in the first place i insisted it is gf for everything. Genuinely very upset as we love the food here but the amount of issues dealing with her allergen are something that a restaurant can not have error for, especially multiple times.
In edit: After coming in after confirming via phone that it was the gluten mac and cheese, before i could say anything i was told by one of the employees that my whole order was refunded and apologized, and he was very respectful about the situation. However, i do not feel that me or my girlfriend would ever be comfortable coming back here after our experiences. We know there is always a risk with contamination, and it’s our risk to eat at places with such, however a company which advertises an allergen friendly menu needs to be held accountable on what they advertise. Thank you for reading and...
Read moreWhen we were told there was an “authentic” Jamaican food spot, we were so excited. My bf is Jamaican & we have a favorite spot in San Diego that’s ran by a family from the island. Unfortunately, we were completely disappointed in Eerie Kitchen. It’s really just a chipotle for Jamaican food. It was overpriced and overly seasoned to the point that we couldn’t taste the chicken because it had so much in it. The rice was over cooked or it had been sitting there too long, not sure but it wasn’t good either way. The lady that was helping us was also extremely rude and dismissive. My bf has trouble reading menus sometimes because his vision up close isn’t very good at all. I’m dyslexic so I need help with menus sometimes if the words aren’t large enough. We were asking about the prices of certain things and she said “just look at the menu it’s right there”. What? I’m sorry that we asked for help regarding your menu, we actually kind of thought it was your job to help us. The oxtail was actually terrible. They’re so small it’s embarrassing to be charging that much. We refuse to go there ever again and we just started making our dishes at home because the prices for some mid overly spiced chipotle Jamaican food were crazy. We paid almost $70 and none of it was good or authentic. The only thing that tasted good...
